Thanks Carla, Jackson is feeling better today. He's still congested and the cold will have to run it's course, but as soon as he started the croup wheeze last night I gave him the orapred and ran the shower for steam for a few minutes, then he slept the rest of the night. Thank goodness for our wonderful pediatrician writing that Rx yesterday based on my phone call and Jackson's past history of frequent croup, so we didn't have to go into the E/R and I didn't have to worry about him all night. Somehow I am still tired but I can't really blame it on Jackson.

I had such a good time, such a fun group of women, beautiful location, everything was just perfect. Very relaxing. They gave out nicknames to everyone and mine was Sleeping Beauty -- not because of my good looks but because I slept 10 hours one night -- from 2am to noon!! I was on the ground floor where it was nice and quiet, all the loud activities were on the 3rd floor.

Well DD is in the shower and DH just took away her T.V. because of her attitude. She is going to freak when she gets out. Think I can get in the car and drive away quickly before anyone notices?

Send her to visit us in MN Kim! No TV in the bedrooms and no TV during the week at all. No cable either. It's like the dark ages! Although JP has convinced dh to let him watch a lot of sports lately, I'm hoping that will end when the world series is over.

Sorry that you had bad weather the entire time. It looked like the rain stayed in your area.

It was sunny & 70s in OBX Friday & Saturday. Just a little drizzle in VA Beach on Sunday afternoon. Compared to MN that is very tolerable!

There was a nice discussion about this over lunch. We are both tired of it. If the carnival isn't great we will say "That's true. It's a shame that we didn't have enough people come forward to help and make it a success. I am so tired. I fell asleep on the couch while DD was reading Are You My Mother? to me. It was so cold this morning! The weather said 44 but when we went outside an hour later it was only 33!!!!!! It got up to 50 but it was still chilly. The kids had their school pictures done today & I was there for DD's to make sure her hair looked nice. It is only 7 pm and I can't wait for everyone to go to sleep so that I can too. IDK how long I will be around tonight.

Hello everyone........... I am still here but I have been sooooooo sick at night that I am usually stuck on the couch like a slug. I am having an ultrasound next week... I hope everyone is doing fine and I am going to scan the posts for a while to catch up but Soccer and Sickness have been the rulers in the household... I am so excited that we are leaving soon soon soon!!!!

well, DH didn't need the safe house. In fact...he had mentioned about going to watch the game the very day of Samantha's appt and dinner....so I said hey, go to ESPN and we'll do the girl thing.

He said, no it's her weekend. We're doing what ever she wants.

AWWW!!!! He scored major points with that.

BTW Angie!!!!!! DD should be arriving in a few hours. She needs a safe house & you offered last night & all. Seriously IDK what got into her earlier. I also have to deal with my friend's 5th grader fighting with both of my kids. DS ran into the school around 3:30 as we were getting ready to leave holding his throat which was red and said that her DS beat him up & was fighting with DD. I ran outside & DD was on the ground & he was holding her down. Apparently, DD kicked him when he was choking DS so then he turned on her. She got a few more kicks in apparently since he told his mom that she wore pointy hard shoes today. I know that he has gotten in trouble but am really concerned about the kids getting along for the next three afternoons after school while we work on the carnival. DS really looked up to this kid and he has been nice to DS lending him books & talking to him alot. I hope that their friendship can be repaired.

I read today that there is going to be a High School Musical concert tour!! My DD is OBSESSED with High School Musical!!! They'll be here in Vegas at the end of January so I know what I'll have to get her for christmas.

All the cast members are joining except Zac Efron, she'll be disappointed that he won't be there but they got everyone else to sign on.

That doesn't surprise me at all. It was easy for them to dub his voice for the movie but it would be a little difficult to have someone else singing for him on live stage.

When DS was 8, he and his best friend had a terrible fight. DS said they would never talk to each other again. well 2 days went by and they were best friends again. this behavior stopped when they got to be 10. they then realized that what they were fighting over was really stupid, it was never the same thing but still they would fight and make up. DS's best friend moved a couple miles away last year and it has been a hard adjustment. we have to drive him over to play. but it also has helped them realize how strong their friendship will be. Don't worry about it too much. I bet they get along fine.
