I am sorry but for some reason this has me :rotfl: !

I'm glad my son and I can make you laugh.

Hey - if the kid can't read the size he's putting on....tough!

Besides - didn't he feel the breeze running by his ankles???

Guess he'll learn!!!

Good afternoon! I'm checking in to see how everyone is.

Becka, I hope that little one is better soon. I know what a struggle sick vs work days can be. It's a working Mom's nightmare. :guilty:

Karen, be careful with your boss looking over your shoulder today! :3dglasses

I don't like swimming with stingrays, sharks, or dolphins. I guess I'm too much of an inland gal.

My boss is in Japan this week and one of his agenda items is a raise for me. Wish me luck! Meantime is is very quiet here.

I am popcorn:: for lunch and trying to catch up on the posts. I'll be back shortly with more comments.

At DS's school they have cut recess to only 15 minutes a day and he only has PE once a week. How do they expect children to get the required amount of daily physical activity if they cut it so drastically? :sad2:
It's all about standardized tests. The teachers want more classroom time so the kids will pass the tests, the schools will rate higher and get more money, and impress more people. So, PE, which has no lobbyists to stick up for it falls by the wayside.

I think I read it starts at 11pm. I wish it were earlier though. I'm worried my kids will be tired and won't want to be in the club that late but I really want to go to the 80s night.
Dody,

Dody, They might suprise you. My DD's favorite activities in the Lab were after Dinner until Midnight.

I hope so. Plus I'm counting on the fact that we may still be adjusted to PST so it won't seem that late to them. ;)

Thinks its ok to let the boys have cake for breakfast. He says it has milk and flour and probly less sugar than cearel. Hello why not chocolate or icecream then, guesse I shouldnt push it that far he would find a way.

Cake for breakfast! Yum!

:sad2: It's such a shame. The thing they should take into account is that exercise is good for memory and concentration so letting these kids be more active would probably help them do better. My DS is really upset at the shortened recess, he used to love playing dodgeball or basketball, now he says there's no time to get a game started.

I think she's accepted the DIS kids rules. They must find their own food, remember?

Actually, I am planning to let my family scrounge for their own meals from now until Christmas.

I'm going to live on Popcorn and PBJ.

I used to always insist on pizza for breakfast when I was a kid. Pizza to me was what chicken nuggets are to today's generation. I used to eat pizza at every meal. :rotfl:

DH's cousin's boyfriend was stung by a stingray once on his leg. Said it was the worst pain he'd ever experienced.

It's not gonna change until funding is based on physical fitness instead of test scores. And you're right it's a shame.

People wonder why "Soccer Mom's" keep their kids so busy. This could be part of the reason.

Wow! Hi Melissa I'm tickled Pink to see you posting! I never thought you were made up, but I was afraid we scared you off! CJS has been lots of fun and I know you will be too. You must be to keep up with him!

:welcome:

The counselors do need to keep it fun so they don't have a bunch of cranky kids while parents are out "painting the town." :thumbsup2
