Mickey,
Glad to hear the good news update on your FIL. Keep us updated; prayers continue, of course.

Mickey - sometimes the meds can contribute to a disorientation and could make hearing clearly more difficult. I know my father had this.

I hope his recovery continues to go well.

I'm waiting on the DISDog. He slept later this morning

I told DH that DS is good for my ego. Tonight at bedtime he said in his sweet little sleepy voice, "I love you princess mommy."

yesterday I was a cutie mommy...tonight a princess mommy!!!! Life is good!

Aren't those moments the best?!!

I was trying ....

Yes you were. But you...like me....go and catch up first. I've learned that you have to check the post status for an "all-clear-to-catch-up" signal.

Really? The playground is on asphalt with all of that open land out there? What a shame, but you would definately want to watch what they play.
You are thinking of the HS area. The Frackville school is right in town and there is NOTHING around it but houses! Next school year we will all be moving down into a new building which is currently being built next to the HS.

ok, I am officially caught up. That took awhile! I am in the hotel in Norfolk. My flight here was uneventful, a few minutes early even. Tomorrow I pick up my friend who is flying in from Louisiana, then we'll drive over to Nags Head for our girls beach house weekend. So excited!
I am excited for you!!!

Dead serious. DS will eat chicken nuggets & tenders, beef hotdogs, and pizza with cheese & pepperoni. That is basically it for main foods. For lunch he has a nutrigrain bar, pretzles, and fruit snacks. He wont eat cheese, bread, noodles, fruit, or vegies. The only fruit product he will touch is apple sauce on occasion. He does like biscuits & garlic toast. The only dairy he will eat is yogurt & that has dropped off considerably. Another thing that I have to make sure of is that NOTHING except what he will eat is on the plate. I have to tell them to leave the vegies off on the ship or he wont touch any of it.

Giona also eats poorly. and Jaea eats everything including sushi and many foods that I don't even eat.

Giona lives on carbs which I think is very bad - too much sugar. He eats pasta, bread. milk and yogurt. We talk about the 5 a day all the time and sometimes I can get him to eat one fruit or vegetable.

I can't really figure it out. Some of it is laziness, he has some issues with texture. and he also does not like his plate too crowded or too many choices.
He seems to function better with this narrower group of choices.

He was sick for several weeks over the summer and lost several pounds and we just can't get it back on. Before he got sick, I found that gap 5 slim pants fit him and now even those are too big in the waist and he will be 6 in Jan. He is wearing too short size 4 pants which he doesn't even have to unsnap to get on.

I talked to his dr. about it but you can tell their training includes nothing about nutrition. She suggested asparagus because it is sweet. I would really like to do something because I feel it will improve his overall health, stamina and performance at school.

It's very stressful because the rest of us like ethnic foods but his diet is so bland we end up not eating what we want to.
My son has pants staying up issues!!! The 3T are so short on him but they fit his waist better. The 4T are the proper length but even the adjustable waist on the smallest loop fall down! That child has NO hiney! I can't use a belt when he goes to preschool because he can't undo it and redo it.
