I'm going to call it a night before I pull a Kristina and fall asleep at the computer. Besides, Caroline has to fold the laundry. There's a load in a basket and another in the dryer for you here when you're done, OK?
Our teachers have been 3 years now with no contract - we live in a very old fashioned screwy district. Several of us went down to the board of ed meeting to speak on their behalf tonite. They are threatening to stage a walkout which will mean substitutes for our kids.
The teachers all left the meeting together after their president spoke.
Today is picture day at school -I volunteered to comb hair and help out to get and meet the kids from each of my kids K classes. That should be fun - aspirin anyone?
Andy - Ken said that it is about $100./hr to rent a plane to learn to fly - that is probably for a 152. Then it is another $30-40/hr for a flight instructor.
I think the insurance on most flying clubs does not allow student pilots but you can join one and get your instrument rating. Then you get a members rate for the plane rental.
Buying your own is an option because you can buy an older plane for the cost of a motorcycle, of course cheaper if you share. The tie down fees are pretty expensive though depending on the airport and so is the annual maintenance required by the FAA.
It's a pricey hobby like a boat or horses but lots of fun.
No question I am a BOUNTY girl. Cheap paper towels just don't cut it. I pull through the gigantic mountains of towels to try and find the few cute prints - why are they so awful. Aren't there some unemployed Hallmark artists who could make decent graphics?
candy corn - ugh, never had one
peeps - ugh, never had one
Dots - ugh
fritos - like em, but agreed way too salty
Doritos - also kind of salty and messy
cheetos - love those puffy things but so orange!!
We noticed Andy - I don't think it's really fair that these part-time DIS'ers who got all pumped up eating apple dumplings at Knoebel's get to steal the pirates out from under us more legitimate, regular posters.
