DD8 and I worked on a gingerbread Halloween House on Sunday. She really did most of the work (I'm such a controlling mom on crafts... I want to take over, but I was good this time!). Here are some photos:

That's adorable! I've thought of buying the kit but I'm afraid I'll end up eating too much of it. :lmao:

Um BRACK...are you figuring out your points????

5 Points for a grande latte made with skim milk (also counts as milk unit)

Marielle, you guys did a great job on the "halloween gingerbread house". DD made a xmas one years ago. We weren't allowed to touch it. I finally convinced her that we should go ahead and give it to the birds. I think it was 2 months after xmas. I loved doing stuff like that when the kids were littler. Now I come home and they made cookies or a cake. I never thought I would feel comfortable letting them use the oven but they are doing a great job. DS still is not comfortable taking things out of the oven but DD doesn't have a problem.

Here is DD in her Elizabeth Swan costume & necklace. When she put it on she looked at me quite seriously and said "Mommy, you need to take a picture and ask Jack Sparrow if I look OK for pirate night. :lmao:

As I said in the Movie " Where did you get that ?" referring to the gold coin ... And you let her know I said she looks GREAT as a Pirate...She would make a mighty fine Pirate on the crew of the Black Pearl ...

We've done WW in past. The hardest thing for me is Christmas. Starbucks has an EggNog Latte then. Big points!

Dieting for me is a matter of the mind. I gotta do it.

Check out shops that rent costumes, that is what I am thinking about doing.

we have a GREAT costume shop here....but I think as many are - they are cast off costumes from local theatres. At least ours is - it has TONS of costumes ----- many great can can chicas - but the sizes OH MY!!! They are as I was theatre sized (and yes, add to my confessional I took several of my costumes that were tailored for me that I loved ---- I never said where I wsa from right)

Not quite according to plan...

This is the way my diets usually go ...

My dad used to make eggnog for us when we were little. He called it "muscle juice." He equated food to a lot of things. We had ropes out back to climb and he would tell us that mac and cheese would help us get to the top. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Todd I found several quotes from Joshamme Gibbs and some sound files. Working on my charater.

Lisa, the kids look great. DS's costume is finished and he loves it. I got DD a pink pirate skull cap from ebay. she wants to be similar to Elizabeth in POTC2. she has a pair of gauchos and a white shirt. I think I am going to get her pink scarf to tie as a belt. at the ren festival we got her a vest that looks very similar to a pirates vest. DH found a cheap copy of CJS's hat at a halloween costume store and he just had to have it. DH's costume is finished and mine is just missing some jewelry. I am so excited about the pirate party. I think this is the 1st time, DH has ever dressed up.

can someone tell me step by step how to post pictures? I have tried with no success. I wanted to post a picture of the pirate scarf. it is really neat. pirate:
