Well, I hit the jackpot today with deals. :) I ran back out to WM to look at the womens, boys, and mens clothes that were marked down to $1 & $2 each before meeting at the school. Game Stop is next door so I went in & asked if they still had the POC medallion necklace. The manager said that they had some somewhere & found one for me. I saw one on ebay for 12 last night so when I saw that it was 15, I commented oh well. I was trying to save a bit more. He said that if I bought them all he would mark them down 50%. Turns out this morning all of their toys went 50%!!!!!!!! I got the same thing that is on Ebay for $25 for only $7.50!!!! :)

I also managed to find quite a few of the Disney tees including two of the POC tees at WM. :) I was so happy to find a Chip & Dale shirt. DD loves that one. LOL! DS & DH got some deals as well.
Awesome!!! I love deals too!!!!

Here is DD in her Elizabeth Swan costume & necklace. When she put it on she looked at me quite seriously and said "Mommy, you need to take a picture and ask Jack Sparrow if I look OK for pirate night. :lmao:

LOL! I was a DISer a while before I was a mod & that is only good on the cruise boards. I still have 40 seconds on all of the other boards. :)

Really? I would think it wouldn't be able to differentiate.

But ha ha! ;)

I'm on the road the next three days so I need to go figure out what suits will fit me and are clean. You'd think I would have done all of that last week. Well I didn't. :sad2: So have fun all. I won't be able to check my T/X during the symposium however I will be thinking of you all. I might get a quick read in the a.m. before I head out.

See ya!
Have fun Carla!!!!!!

I miss going in the classroom every week. I got to do this in Sarah's kindergarden, 1st and 4th grade classes and Amanda's pre-school. It all depends on the teacher and how they utilize parents. I do get to go in for parties though, but it is not the same as the weekly things. I love it when the kids know who I am if I see them somewhere! :goodvibes
I did that for both my kids for 1st & 2nd grade. I was my dd girl scout leader and softball coach and I helped work at girl scout day camp that over 250 kids attend a year. I love it when the kids recognize me. I was at dinner with my family when a little girl comes running over "Hi Shadow!". Shadow is my camp name. Her mother looked at me and we both realized we went to high school together. She said well at least now I know who shadow is. The kids are the reason I volunteer so much. I love interacting with them but I also could not be a teacher. If I am with them too much, I tend to get cranky.

What is flamingo flocking? :confused3 Inquiring minds want to know.
The kids put plastic flamingos on sticks in your yard. we had a total of 13 flamingos. as the year goes on, less and less flamingos are present--they tend to break pretty easy. It was really funny. they also leave a note with a phone number. it costs $10 for removal, $25 to flock someone else & $50 for removal & flocking insurance. it was all tax deductible

I have had it. It only works for certain kinds of pneumonia. I have had pneumonia every year since....

I thought pneumonia wasn't a virus in and of itself, but resulted from other things? :confused3

Todd - while I still want to do it - that costume is just too expensive for a one-time shot for me. Any ideas? Any other more "reasonalble" characters?

Check out shops that rent costumes, that is what I am thinking about doing.

I am not a medical person but I have had pneumonia enough that the doctors explained that there is a viral strain and a bacterial strain. my kids have each had it twice in their lifetime. My DF has had it more times than I can count. I actually have not had it for a long time. I think the last time was when I was in college. My DF's is a bacterial kind usually. He smoked pipes for a long time and has hurt his lungs. If he gets brochitis, he will get pneumonia.
