I missed this. Are you talking about skittles?
No, this was Dots. Or temporary fillings, as I call them.
Oh, and Skittles? DS thinks they are called "Taste the Rainbows." (What, watch much TV??) The secretary at DD's school loves Walt and keeps a stash of Skittles for him whenever I have to drag him to school for a project!

Andy - Ken said that it is about $100./hr to rent a plane to learn to fly - that is probably for a 152. Then it is another $30-40/hr for a flight instructor.

I think the insurance on most flying clubs does not allow student pilots but you can join one and get your instrument rating. Then you get a members rate for the plane rental.

Buying your own is an option because you can buy an older plane for the cost of a motorcycle, of course cheaper if you share. The tie down fees are pretty expensive though depending on the airport and so is the annual maintenance required by the FAA.

It's a pricey hobby like a boat or horses but lots of fun.

The local costs are $125 for a 172 and like $35 and hour for the instructor. I figure it'll be in the 5000-6000 range. As far as owning, it seems expensive to buy a used one. I was reading a used plane magaznine and they are going for 60-70,000 for a Cessna..I have a magazine showing the newer small plane models and I could get one for 15,000....maybe wings don't come with that model... :scratchin. The flight schools here offer loans or deferred payment but I'm not sure if its worth messing with our credit...have to weigh the options, flying or Disney...its gonna be rough. Wait, how about FLYING to DISNEY! Yes, Yes! That's it! The pieces are falling into place.... ::yes:: :hyper:
