I started reading posts and confess I gave up after about 30 pages. I'm hopelessly behind, but happy to jump in here!

Will email the "fearless leader" with our info!

Are we too late for any DIS group goodies? Are you doing buttons? Fish extenders? Wrist bands? (I love goodies!) I checked the Disney site for the lime green t-shirts, but alas, all gone. Guess I could spray paint the kiddos! :lmao:

Just saw the new WDW commercial for the Year of a Million Dreams celebration. It is very good. I was definitely a bit choked up.

Two months! I am already too excited to sleep.

There is a web site that has all of the info including goodies. Fearless Leader will PM it to you when you all connect.

There are still decisions being made on goodies, so never too late.
After you email your info to Lisa, she'll get you pointed in the right direction.

hmmm, while I like the idea of green children :artist: , I don't think that is the best alternative :lmao:

FYI - and I forgot to tell everyone - I saw some green (not true lime, but very close) in the selection of t-shirts at the Michael's store (sorry, Becka, but she was going to paint the children!!)

another FYI-Becka is the anti-craft :rotfl2:

You are going to fit right in with this group with that kind of thinking.

Do any of you guys ever try to do laundry on the ship (we try not to). The laundry rooms can be like trying to break into an enemy bunker. The most I try to do is iron, and lately we send our clothes to be pressed on the ship instead of fighting over the one of the few ironing boards.

Anyway, I was really wondering how much purple Downy will now be on the ship, or purple Tide with purple Downy in it.

John1

I did laundry on our 4 night cruise. The cruise was in the middle of an 11 day trip and with two little kids I had too. I also did a load before we got on the ship at All Star Movies. It really was not too bad. I put them in the washer before dinner and then between courses ran down to stick them in the dryer. After dinner they were done. :)

I am sure I will need to do at least one load this trip as well. :)

I bet if we pick some odd word and then all of us post that word it will affect it! Any thoughts?

I have been obsessed crazy (more than usual) in trying to get this booked. This start-our-own-business thing wasn't supposed to happen 'til maybe next year. But everything is falling into place for a MUCH earlier start up.....which is great for DH, but it shot our August '07 med repo out of the water. :sad1:

Not knowing if I would ever see a vacation again before our boys are out on their own and grown, I figured we'd better put that repo deposit to good use....and fast! Fortunately, DH agreed and here we are.....no doubt paying top $$ for the privilege, but happy to be doing so all the same!! :cool1: :cheer2:

We live in Maryland.....halfway between D.C. and Baltimore. I'm a recovering type-A workaholic/now stay-at-home Mom. We've been on 4 DCL cruises....always on the Magic except for one 3-nighter on the Wonder this past March.

Another confession -- I've been more of a lurker on the DIS. When we sailed on the Panama Canal repo, I sooooooo regretted not getting involved, posting, being part of the DIS fun. So, I guess that makes me a recovering lurker, too!

Thanks for the welcomes -- looking forward to getting to know you F-A-S-T!!

Here are the chocolate smoothie directions:

This isn't the real directions...we changed them to make them 2 points for a whole blender and that makes it 1 point for a glass when we split it.

4-5 cups of ice
1 c of 1% milk
3T of baker's cocoa powder
6 packets of splenda
1T of vanilla

Blend and enjoy...if it doesn't get smooth enough just add a touch of water.

May have said this before, but after your post Missy I am repeating . . .

My dad and brother's birthday is June 24th! My dad was also a twin, so we had three birthdays on the 24th.

My son was born on June 15th - my birthday - he had no trouble having a day of his own. I just lost mine!

John1

My Mom's b-day is May 13th, my BIL's is May 15th. DS just snuck in there with May 14th...I guess he wanted his own birthday. ;)

I would be considered a "hopeful crafter". I love the idea of scrapbooking, but can never quite get it together to do anything remotely that talented. I have brand new albums sitting at home gathering dust just begging to be filled with beautiful Disney pictures. Maybe I suffer from "lack-of-craft-perfection" syndrome! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Hi everyone! Is it too late to join this group?

We just booked this cruise after our plans changed for doing the August 2007 repo. We're a family of 4 -- two boys, ages 10 & 7.

We have some big life changes coming (DH is starting his own company), so this might be one of our last vacations for a while. Had to use that repo deposit somewhere....figured sooner was better than later! :thumbsup2

Anyway, looking forward to a fun double dip, seeing The Flying Dutchman and meeting some great DIS'ers!

Welcome ds2Mom! I have a 10 year old son cruising with us also. :)

Several of us live in the same general area. I live northeast of Baltimore city in Baltimore county.

Actually, if you booked this week, it looks like the prices have come back down since final payments were due last week. My room had gone up over $800 since I booked in Jan 04, but this week it was just $100 more then when I booked.
