I first took DS to a pediatric dentist before he was two because he had some dark spots on his teeth that I wanted checked out. He said it was fine and to bring him back for regular checkups starting when he 3 to 3 1/2. I didn't really care for him very much so I knew I needed to find someone else before then.

My DD had dark spots on her teeth also. We were told they were just stains though.

DS's teeth were another story, by the time he was 2 he had to have his top 4 teeth pulled and 4 other teeth needed root canals and caps on them because of "baby bottle decay" :sad2: Made me feel horrible.

We have gotten them yearly cleanings ever since, which reminds me I really should get an appointment soon for this year's cleaning.

who posted the red wine gravy beef crock pot recipe? Any chance someone could re-post it? I can't find it and it looked so yummy, I wanted to make it tomorrow. I've tried "search this thread" and I'm getting nothing. Thanks,

V, on the dentist and little kids. With DD I took her with me to my appointments until she was old enough for her own appointments. She would go for a ride in the chair, play with the tools, meet the dentist, take a picture, the hygenist would peek inside her mouth. Just fun stuff for a while. Meantime I had to "look" relaxed and calm during the cleanings. (Another story altogether).

I'm really just peeking in during lunch. It's end of month and end of quarter which means lots of work for me.

Aaron had the same thing with the 4 top front teeth. He is 7 now and we are hoping they will be growing back in soon. He had his first loose tooth on the bottom when we saw them Sept 9. Haven't heard if it came out yet.

Can't you just see the photographer standing there with an inflatable banana and asking everyone if they are one of the people who want their picture taken with it? :rotfl2:

DS teeth finally came in when he was about 7. I was so happy when he finally had teeth again.

Ahhh Children's Teeth - one of my favorite (NOT!) subjects...

question - Why can't children under the age of 12 use Listerine?

My oldest (DS9) has okay teeth --- no cavities yet --- but the dentist is always telling me that he has terrible plaque buildup. We've tried every rinse and wash they make for kids. Listerine claims it is good at killing the germs that cause bad breath and plaque. DH and I use it. I gave it to him, just to see if he could stand it (we used the orange flavored one for him) and I've got to think it is killing the germs great. But when you read the label, it says don't give to kids under 12. Will it harm the teeth or are they afraid he will swallow it?

Listerine probably still has some alcohol in it - most of them did/do. check the label or call their customer service line.

Hydrogen peroxide is a great bacteria cleansing rinse. Dilute it with water - it's great for the gums and tongue - brush the tongue a little too. It's a little nasty tasting but not too bad - drink a little clear water after. and very cheap!!

He scored a touch down this sunday and threw the ball into the stands. the fans threw it back onto the field. I was so glad they did that.

:happytv: :happytv: :happytv: :happytv:

That should let him know what they think of him. :rotfl:

My dentist recommended that I keep brushing the kids teeth and flossing them. I thought plaque was really more of a brushing issue?

I was just reading the main cruise board for the first time in a LONG time. I read this and I was hoping one of you crazy cats could tell me what this is all about
"We also chatted with her after the "Dan Block" fiasco in the Walt Disney Theater - she was visibly shaken after that totally inappropriate show - and she had a bit of work to do in a short period of time since there was no what that guy was going to be "the" second show of the evening!!"

Her was Rachel the cruise director.

The post was confusing but I believe that it was similar to the incident with the Full House guy one extended cruise with the Muppets. He was there for the first show but not the second because of his inappropriate comments during the first show.

My first date with hubby we had to help someone change a flat tire after the movie - it was 7 degrees out. DH had a VW Thing - the windows (if you can call them that) don't quite close completely on those and it was about 7 inside the car too.

Speaking of guns and such, we had a patient threatening to bring a gun into our pharmacy and Director's Office if he did not get his pain meds hand delivered to his house today. :sad2: He left 10 voicemail messages on my phone and called several others around the hospital. :sad2: One of the calls he talked about suicide also, which gave us a reason to call the Portland police and ask them to do a welfare check, just to make sure he was not serious about that. Hard to know who is serious with those threats and who is not and on a day like today, following two other shootings at schools in the past week you just worry. Our VA Police were, of course, alerted and also had a chat with him. There was only one voice message left after the Portland police went out and that was just to let us know "the police can't do anything if I'm not suicidal." :sad2:

What a psycho! :sad2: How scarey. Glad that you are OK. The police press conference today said that three of the officers who responded to the shooting yesterday later witnessed another person committing suicide in front of them. I can't imagine how they get thru the day with so many terrible things happening around them. :(

Watching The Bachelor right now. I sense this will be a very annoying season. Most of these girls seem so flaky and obnoxious.

That's what I figured from the preveiws I have seen. OY! :sad2:
