Let's see... what happened today....

DS did not want to wear shoes and socks to preschool today. Got to the point that I had to put him in the full body hold to get them on.
Dropped him off at school, dropped DD13 off at the local synagogue (babysitting for them during their services). DD8 and I went and got some more fabric and a few other things at Walmart. Home for an hour or so; browned the ground beef to make lasagna later. Picked up DS "I had a great day at school today!!" Picked up DD. Went to work for a few hours (my part time editing job). Back home, made lasagna (2 pans). Ate too much. Helped DD13 with her high school application (she may leave the public school system; not sure but need to apply to even have the option). Went to the music store and picked up her new viola book. Watching TV (Eagles-Packers) and DIS.

Exciting, huh?!

I felt so bad for the guy who dropped the 2 fumbles in the red zone. that has got to be so frustrating for the whole team. at least they were able to salvage one of them. I bet he gets a lot of drills of hand offs next week.
He should get a lot of drills!!!!!!

I am so glad green bay is not like last year. Favre has actually completed more passes than have been intercepted. I was really angry lst year that the packers got so many monday & sunday night games and did so poorly. I hope that they can at least win more games than last year. I also am pleased with the way that the eagles are playing. I think finally being rid of TO has helped them a lot. both teams deserve a better season than last year.

this is what I love about fantasy fball.....I tend to watch many more teams and players than normal.

Sounds about as exciting as my day.

I love Aikers....our field goal kicker. I want a jersey. My DH said that you can't wear a kickers jersey...that is just too wimpy!!!! He is so predictable...I love that! I hope we get one more TD before the end of this quarter.

FG kickers pretty much have the "I" team. I don't think they are wimpy. They HAVE to HAVE the leg or else what the O did for them does not matter.

I swear that is the typical day of all of ours. We are non stop and don't even have time to sit and enjoy. At least the game is good. It is so weird hearing them say "Mike McCarthy". that is my son's name and he loves it when his name is said on TV.

I was so glad the dude that stomped the other player on sunday got a multi games suspension. he deserves it. I wonder if they have ever pressed criminal charges against a player for doing something during the game.

Has everyone seen that the passport requirement has now been pushed back even more?

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=14816694&postcount=26

we went ahead and got them for all of us anyway. DD is talking about maybe going to Italy two summers from now. DH & I are talking about possibly cruising in Alaska/Canada in 2008. It just seemed like more of a hassle not to have them. DD & DS think they are so cool.

Me too. that was horrible.

Saw that, too. Oh, well, we have ours in hand anyway. At least DS3's passport is so darn cute!!
I have a passport but the rest of the family doesn't have them. Mine expires in 2007. I will renew mine and get them for the rest of the family so they are all on the same "schedule."

the bengals played the patriots on sunday. we really wanted to win this game. Corey Dillon was our running back for many years. he really did not get along with the new coach and caused a lot of issues on the team his last year. our new coach, Marvin Lewis, has done wonders with the team. we got rid of Corey after one season with Marvin but he still bad mouthed the team before he was signed by New England. He scored a touch down this sunday and threw the ball into the stands. the fans threw it back onto the field. I was so glad they did that. we are 3 & 1 which is the best start we have had in over a decade. it really makes the city proud.

I really wanted to get tickets to the game tonight. If we weren't going on the cruise...I would have been more willing to spend the money. DH and I would always go to games....when they were not great. Ever since they have had a few winning seasons it is impossible to get tickets. I got some on ebay last year...but if you live in PA you legally can't pay more than the face value for a ticket.

Kids' passports are only good for 5 years, so they'll have to be redone before yours, though. And for us one of the hardest things was finding a time that we could all appear in person and the place was open for the kids' passports!!

I know they expire faster but then they will only have to get it done once before ours all expire..KWIM?

DH went to one Eagles game as a guest in the Drexel box. I've been to 2 Carolina Panthers home games (thanks to my awesome inlaws who have season tickets).

I have so much stuff to post on ebay. I just need the time and energy to get it done!!!!

Vanessa, is there someone who keeps up with the stats in case you can't watch all of the games?????

We were at the very first game ever to be held at the Link. The energy in that place was amazing!!!!! The first time we ever went to a game I surprised my DH for his Birthday. We went to Philly for the weekend. We went ice skating, to Dave and Busters, and all sorts of stuff...I can't even remember it all. He thought we were just "getting away" for his Bday. (This was pre kids...it was also pre marriage) We woke up on Sunday morning and I had all of our extra warm clothing hidden in the car. I asked him what he wanted to do before we left for home...his idea...breakfast!!!! :rotfl: I asked if he wanted to get home before the game started....of course he did....then I asked if he wanted to stay and see it live. He didn't believe me until I showed him the tickets!!! It was a great day! Then after the game...we demolished the car...great weekend....bad ending!!!!!
