Karen - do they post the price of the item on the shelf in your megastore with the scanners? no, right?

this is how they are getting around all those people who do not want to get the "savings card".

Lisa - I do stockpile some items too (but I don't get great prices on them) mostly because I just don't want to spend the time driving to the store. But I have to go for fruits and vegetables - many of the other aisles I skip entirely.

Oh sure they do! You don't HAVE to use the hand held scanner...that's optional...you can put it in teh cart and have them do it or you can scan at teh register...but the prices are on the shelf.

OG, John did you have soup or salad? I miss the potato soup. I have it everytime I go to the states. 66 more days till OG soup!

We also bag, and carryout your groceries for you. I do not understand why stores will not provide this service. Most of that is done for us by High School kids - except during the day, and since most people are working in the daytimes, we are not as busy then.

You all need to move here and shop at our stores so we can compete better!

The HT will do this as well. I took advantage of it when I was starting my meds. In fact, when I realized that I had forgotten to pick up two packs of water bottles the bagger at my cashier's station went back & got them for me then packed it all up in my car. They will not take tips. After shopping there for 8+ years I know most of the day time employees...they have seen the kids grow up. The baggers are older gentlemen and are very sweet.
