So once again this week, we will not be watching the same GA episode as you all. Since I saw both last week, I will skip this week. Will watch Survivor instead. Although not sure I will be able to stay awake, i am so ready for bed right now, and that is the main sign I am sick.

Waiting for Grey's here. Samantha had ballet then we ran to Publix for some Thursday night goodies. Picked up some GA wine....it's chilling.

Elizabeth says Thanks for all of the birthday greetings! I went through all the pages and showed them to her! She was grinning and this great group made her feel extra special.
Her field hockey team won the game today--what a nice bonus since her team doesn't win many. But of course, right after we picked her up from school, I had to take her sister to soccer practice. Then we picked up a late birthday dinner on the way home from soccer (something for everyone from the local pizza place--stromboli, cheesesteak, pizza and mozzarella sticks). Still have to have some cake and it's 8:15 already!

John - I was very interested in your posts on censorship since I am a librarian. I wondered what you think of the "expressionist art" that Congress was so riled up about in recent years. You know the urine soaked canvases etc.

This is one of those areas that many people would call me a liberal. I am not in favor of censorship of any kind - other than the obvious which causes harm to innocent parties (like child pornography). While certain things may not be my cup of tea, it is none of my business (or the government's business) to regulate what adults can or cannot see, or can or cannot do. I am not opposed to restrictions that keep it away from innocent and immature eyes - and I am not sure about the specific incident you are talking about.

One of the things that happened early on in our partnership with having our district libary at our High School, was their concern that our board would wish to censor their collection. While I told them there are never absolute guarantees of what a future Board may do (although we put control of their collection in their hands) I told them I was never in favor of such practices.

What many people do not understand is that they think censorship once started will stop at their sensibilities. Once you go down that road - or you allow government to go down that road, where does it stop?

Better to never allow government to go down that road. Down that road is that little group called the Taliban.

I am also NOT in favor of all the snooping the government now feels they have to do into our privacy.

Karen, I just took an informal survey at work (all guys remember). They say crying and cussing are the same thing and are all ok. If a guy crys however you'd better watch out.

Doubt it.... Too tolerant a group i.e. earrings. Although I must tell you I had a friend break her finger because her ring got caught on the homecoming decorations and then she fell off the step stool. YOWY!! So I basically think all jewelry is a health hazard

The only jewelry I wear is ONE plain, simple, ring, and I have been wearing it for over twenty years now!
