What a touching memorial to you BIL . . .

Our son's name is Alex (named after my father - Greek tradition). If we would have had another boy, he would have been Peter - my father is a twin, and his twin brother Peter passed away about 10 years ago. Middle name would have been Nicholas after my favorite uncle.

Alas, we had a little girl, and while I have an Aunt Sophia, we just liked the name . . . no real connection.

John1

Alex's middle name is Clark which is my maiden name.
Actually, we were having a hard time with girl's names and the couple we choose to be Sophia's godparents came up with Sophia. It is an old Greek tradition that the Godparents get to pick the name for the baby so it actually worked out. Of course, the normal tradition is the parents don't find out the name until the bapitism, we didn't follow that part!!

My DS is sitting here and reciting the commercial for that Floam stuff. :rotfl: I think he watches way too much TV!

this pool thing is great - both kids are out like a light, as is DH!
It looks like your plan is finally coming together.

He he he he he.

PS DH is watching football with the clicker in his hand scanning through the games. I have turned off the volume and put on some music.

Lisa, how did you learn this? I have trouble with the dark theater shots. I would like to take a class to better use my rebel but haven't made time yet. I do have a zoom lens but am not sure how or how much to adjust the shutter. Any tips?

:) I simply set it to the automatic shutter setting. :thumbsup2 Kodak makes it easy. Our other two cameras like this one had the setting but I never took the time to read the manual & try it out.

Cadiallac Williams finally scored! The guy I am up against only has one player playing now. The rest are at 4pm......I NEED to win this week I am desperate. Not to mention the guy I am playing is the one who has a bench full of running backs....and tries his best to take all of them during the draft and then trade them out. Something he does every year.

But this is the one that I think I have to have now!

AWWWWWWWWW that is so sweet!!!!! I love the one with the castle too...and I am NOT a PM person either. I prefer Cherished Teddies...which is what the nursery was. I have a bunch of them for the kids too...although DD will probably wind up with most of them.

I keep my Rebel on auto most of the time too but I want to take some clear theatre shots with no flash this time. I think it's fast shutter with more open aperture -- I think that can work together - to let mre light in without leaving the shutter open so long that the images blur.

You guys should ask John about the Rebel. That is what he has and he took some awsome shots of the shows last year. :)

so has everyone pretty much got thier pirate costumes together?
We got ours together this summer.

Are you still looking for a not too low cut yet still "bad girl" one for you?

DH is the only one here without his pirate costume. I don't know what he is going to come up with.
