Well thankfully the worst of the storms were south and slightly east of us. We really lucked out there but some people were killed and lots of homes destroyed by tornados. :(

Becka - glad you're okay. The news sounded like things were pretty rough.

I am waiting to count our change - it has been a couple of years. The last time we rolled it all, we had over $700! I am hoping for spending money for the cruise.

The only thing we have around here is "Coinstar" (we have one at one of our stores . . . and they keep like 10% of your money for countng it. Forget that!

Hey - another excuse for a Dis road trip. Our Commerce banks let anyone and everyone...members and non...use their coin counting machines for free...no fees...no hassles.

Jodie, who did you book with? Southwest will issue you a credit. Also, my father is from Baraga but his family moved to Detroit in the area I think is now known as Redford.

We booked with Northwest since they will let me bring the wedding dress on the plane. It was our only options because of that, plus Spirit Airlines wanted double of what we paid, they don't let the dress on the plane though, you have to check it.

My bad habits need to stop with checking, I even checked last night to see if it went down....maybe this means I need to start planning our next vacation as the planning for this one is almost done with

Redford it about 30 minutes from us I think? We are from Eastpointe.

Well....my day....let's see. I woke up not feeling too well but had alot to do today. I ran to Target to get some quick fix meds until I could go to the clinic then we went to the kid's soccer game. They did so well!!! DS scored the only goal and he was the goalie for their team for a while and blocked a ton of kicks! :) We took the famished children to McD's for lunch, then hit WM to get DS a longer fishing pole. It seems that the little Mickey pole isn't strong enough to handle the wild fish in the creek. ;) This one is a little taller than he is and he is happy & quite proud of his new pole. The plan was for the guys to go fishing at 6 HOWEVER the dryer quit working and DH tried to fix it. After finally getting the new belt on I left for the clinic with DS thinking that everything would now be ok. Well, after being seen, picking up meds, and getting dinner at the store along with a key lime pie for DH because his afternoon wound up being so terrible....I opened the door to find the dryer sitting there. It still didn't work. I think that it is 15 years old. The wash is on the lines in the garage. It has been a while since we have done that....but at least it is an option. That about sums things up here.

My dryer is going too. It makes loud thumbing noices all the time and when you start and stop it it sounds like someone is beating it. It's been like this for a month and I am waiting for it to go....It's the washer and dryer combo stack, so I have been pricing out some.....Don't you just love it when you think you have things all caught up and then something like this happens :rolleyes1 LIke we haven't been rolling out the dough anyways with the wedding and such :sad2:

SO I really need help with finding a buddy for my 19yr old brother!!! Anyone have suggestions? He is having fits because he will be restricted from the teen stuff and he loved all of that when he went with us last time!

Umm....if your 19 YO brother hangs out here long enough he will realize that some of us are in our 30s and 40s...but still act like we're teenagers! .... and that's a good thing!!! b/c we're young at heart.

Hi Jodie!!! Looks like it is just you and I this morning.

IT is rainy and we have a football game in about 3 hours. I hate sitting in the rain to watch those cute boys.

So tell me - are ya at all nervous about the wedding? or is the excitement just building?

Hope you have a great day!!

Take care!!

Have a magical day!

This is a serious thank you!! I know it might get missed in all the other posts today....but

To Captain Jack -

I bought a pirate flag based on your posts...a while back...for the fun of it! Just for the Dis-ness.

Well - let me tell you - I had NO IDEA just how happy my little boy would be at the sight of that flag. You really made my little son happy by your suggestion to get a pirate flag.

So - Thanks Captain!!! Now I just might have to buy you a drink. I haven't seen my little on this happy over such an innocent gift in sooo long....guess he wants to be a pirate when he grows up.

Seriously - you really made a little kid happy! So thanks for sharing the link!!!

okay - I have to go stick those little pads inthose little pockets in those little football pants. Ugh~ I hate this part.

Take care everyone.

I really like the Precious Moments figurines but I only had one and refused to buy any more because if you have two it become a "collection" and then it gets hard to stop buying them. My one PM figure broke a few weeks ago when the shelf it was on collapsed so I have been thinking that I should get a new one with a little boy and a little girl to represent my DD and DS. DH does some checking and it turns out there are Disney PM figures! Be still my heart!!! Are these not the cutest things ever?

Good Morning Karen :wave2: & HAPPY BIRTHDAY PJ  Sorry PJ, I don't have a cute birthday thing...I am soo clueless over here :rotfl:

Karen, I am getting excited for the wedding, more excited for the vacation....Not nervous at all, More stressed out about the reception when we return as our plans are not finalized and neither of us know what we want, we are both totally indecicive people, never able to make a decision.

It rained here yesterday :guilty: but today it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day, may have to get some yard work done :guilty:

My sister is heading out to the new IKEA store in Canton, MI today and I may have to go with her...I am dying for a new bedroom set, sheets, duvet cover...etc. They are soooo cheap there, you can buy a king size duvet cover for $50.00. I can't find anything cheaper...I am always purchasing new bedding. It's the only thing in the house I can redo. Our house is small, 800 sq feet, and so I can't rearrange the rooms at all.. Paul thinks I am crazy in that I am always redoing the bedroom :rotfl: Paint in all!!!!!

I hope the rain clears up for your football game :wizard: Gotta love football, it reminds me that fall is here and summer is over....Fall is my favorite season ;)

Thanks :cool1: But why does everything soooo cute have to be so expensive :confused3 Maybe I'll have to break down and purchase it.

Lisa,

Are all the excursions the group is doing booked up? If not, can you please pm me the info or something, if that is ok to do. Thanks!
