Maybe I am a bad person but he did nothing for me....although I felt bad watching Izzy tonight.

:faint: Do you not have a heart?

OK - GA seemed a little slow to me tonight. I had too many expectations for the first episode. Nothing really seemed to get resolved. I am still anxiously looking forward to next Thursday night.

I took my Nyquil about 45 minutes ago so I should get to bed before I start embarassing myself around here. Those meds can do strange things to you....right Karen? ;)

my daughter's name was picked out when I was in 10th grade--at least most of it. My parents had a foster child named Krista--I loved the name and knew that was what my daughter was going to be called. In my freshman year of college, the space shuttle exploded on take off. Christa McAuliffe was on it and I changed the spelling of my daughter's name to Christa. I always thought her name would be Christa Marie. Well my BF & next door neighbor ended up having a girl 8 months prior to my daughter and named her Kristina Marie. I kind of figured our girls might be close and Kristina Marie and Christa Marie was just too confusing. So Christa became Christa Louise. I love the sound of it. And it really did help since Christa & Kristie have become best friends. when they were younger, we would just call for Chris & Kris.

DS name was a little harder. My DH had a younger brother named Michael. He was Christa's godfather. We had decided on Stephen Michael for DS. Stephen is my DH confirmation name. Well to make a long sad story short. DH DB got Acute Lukemia at 24 years old. He lived with us while undergoing Chemo, Radiation and 2 Bone Marrow Transplants. My DH was the donor for both. DBIL was not allowed to live with his parents because they had another son living at home with 3 young children and the house was not clean enough to ensure his safety. DIL lost his battle with lukemia after 10 months. I became pregnant with DS the following year. When Christ saw her DB, she said his name is Michael Stephen. I had to ask permission from DMIL to be sure not to upset her. DBIL had only been deceased for a little over 1 year. DMIL loved that we named him that. I think DH did also.

I always wanted to name another child Jillian but DH said "The dear lord told Noah only two". so we stopped at two kids.

What a touching memorial to you BIL . . .

Our son's name is Alex (named after my father - Greek tradition). If we would have had another boy, he would have been Peter - my father is a twin, and his twin brother Peter passed away about 10 years ago. Middle name would have been Nicholas after my favorite uncle.

Alas, we had a little girl, and while I have an Aunt Sophia, we just liked the name . . . no real connection.

OMG!! I got home tonight to the pool waterfalls going and a note saying we could go swimming!!!! We did in fact go swimming!

Had Olive Garden, watching Grey's and considering a Mai Tai or a wine.....

Congrats V!

Since we have been hearing about the pool for about two years, I came to expect it would never be done!

actually I am an "Anne" - mind you, an Ann with an "e", a kindred spirit. But as rare as I hear Vanessa it is unheard of to hear Vanessa Anne....

Sophia is Sophia Anne - I think because DW and I enjoyed watching Anne of Green Gables on the Disney Channel years ago.

Brandi,

How did the pics go?

and any word on DSIL yet?
There has been no word on DSIL. As for the pics....
Thanks for the heads up on the coupon. I saved about 7 bucks plus the free picture. If my DS was cooperating could have saved more!!!!

He was so bad!!!! He is never bad like he was tonight! My DH was ready to wring his little neck! We got one half way decent picture. They print them and you get them in an hour. All of the others looked terrible! My DH said they looked like they were Eagles pics after a loss!!!!!!

You could see my DS crying in one of them. He was all over the place. I took a Halloween shirt for each of them and wanted them inside of this big pumpkin. DD was perfect...smiling, happy, and sweet as ever. DS WOULD NOT KNEEL!!! He kept laying in the bottom of the pumpkin. He was "sick, tired, had to pee, angry, tired of hold Liza, sick (he used this one many times), his back hurt, his knees hurt, his belly hurt, and his mouth hurt too much to smile!

I think that was all of the excuses! I am telling you that boy is lucky to be in one piece after our evening! When we went back after the hour to see the pictures they were all bad...except one half decent one (which I bought...and that was all I bought.) He said "Mama, I am so sorry, I will do it again and this time I will be better." ,.....Thanks but too late now!

Now...aren't you sorry you asked how the photo session went!

John and other digital potential scrappers. I use PSE 4.0. I did a search for free digital scrapbooking and there are tons of papers, elements and fonts online.

I think any program that allows you to use layers is great of digital scrapping.

Dennis will pick a book size, i.e. 8.5" x 11" or 8"x 8" or 10" x 10", and this will depend on the producer of the book.

Pj

Cool PJ - I have PSE (on my G4) but was waiting for the universal version to upgrade on the MacBook.

BTW - funny seeing my delayed off-topic posts in the middle of all this GA (which I keep thinking is abbreviated Georgia) posting.

I liked it tonight. It made me feel happy just to have it on!

I started to watch 6 degrees...but it did not hold my interest past 20 min. Did it get any better?
