BUT you could probably carry on enough of a conversation with what you see here to fool someone. ;) :rotfl:

Ok I have never seen GA and I have no idea what any of you are talking about.

John, the PSE 5.0 for windoze is on the website now. And PSE 4.0 for Mac came out about three months after the windoze version, so by Christmas?

:happytv: You are dreaming if you think any of the new shows are going to have answers for the first few weeks. ;)
How true! They have to hook us and drag us along for a while!

I liked it tonight. It made me feel happy just to have it on!

I started to watch 6 degrees...but it did not hold my interest past 20 min. Did it get any better?

I think that they are trying to lay the groundwork for each of the characters tonight. Just TMI IMO.

One can hope!

Otherwise, I have 3.0 (I think) it will probably run very slow on the MacBook through Rosetta. MS Office drives me nutty - everything else runs so slick and fast. Rosetta is great, but some things are just too slow.

John2 looks pretty hyped up to go swimming!

Meanwhile, here, it will be in the 40's tonight, and soon the frost will be on the pumpkin!

Well, I have not been here for about a day and a half, and I am more pages behind than I want to count. I have had some problems to deal with at work, so no time to spend here.

Anyway, this topic is probably stale, but I will relate our issues with cars.

I have a work car that is my company car. It is a 1999 Ford Taurus, which now has about 87,000 miles on it. While I would like a newer car, times are tough, and it is good transportation, so I am not complaining.

We currently have a 2005 Ford Freestyle for Amy's car. The lease on that vehicle is up next month, so we have to make a decision. Quite frankly, I am not excited by ANY car out there - the Freestyle is OK, and has been a decent car, so we may just get another one. With Amy, we do a two year lease because she cannot deal with any car problems. Amy also starts to think a car is old after about a year. This way, it is all under warranty the whole time we have it.

My father was an autoworker who retired from Ford, so we still get the employee purchase plan. Besides that, I am a pretty loyal person, and my dad's job at Ford put food on the table as we were growing up, so I pretty much stick to Ford and Ford products.

We also pay for a car for my MIL because she would not otherwise be able to afford a car (divorced - no retirement other than SS). She has the same types of issues with cars and repairs that Amy does. Some of the worst years of my life were when she had a Renault Alliance and I constantly had to deal with her repair issue. We have a 3 year lease on a Ford Focus for her because she puts hardly any miles on it.

Finally, for DS, I wanted the SAFEST car I could buy for a teeneager. DS is driving a 2004 Volvo S-40 (previous model and style). It is a VERY safe car, so I worry less. While it is also a lease, we will probably buy it at the end of the lease. BTW - Volvo is also owned by Ford.

We would really like to look at one of the Volvo XC 90 - and Kim I think that would be an excellent choice for you. All-wheel drive, and VERY safe as it is a VOLVO. However, the sticker is a bit too steep for us, even at a lease.

I envy Lisa with no car payments, but with me being the only male in this family other than my DS (who is not very mecahnicaly inclined) I cannot deal with car repair issues for everyone, and the peace of mind is what I am paying for.

John, you sound like you have had a tough week. I am sorry! I am empathizing with you today... I hope tommorow starts the beginning of a great weekend!

Vanessa....the wait was worth it!!! Those pavers & tiles are beautiful!

Hey . . .

I don't see any pineapples in those pictures!

Just interviewed a lady today who moved here from FL . . .

She said after 30+ years of hurricanes and too HOT, she decided to come to Ohio. She has never seen snow.

Just wait. Poor girl. If we have a typical winter, she may hightail it back to FL.

Love your pool! How fun! It is beautiful! I always wanted a pool but DH says it is not practical for the 2 months of the year it is really warm here. Today it hailed. Did you see the pictures of our ski resorts on the today show?

OK for anyone else who tried to follow 6D....was the guy the blonde was watching on TV as a reporter who I think she believes was killed in the war the same guy with the camera who took her picture & got the new job?

I did go to the Disney store tonight. For my birthday my DH and my BF each got me the minnie sketch shirt. I returned the one from my BF ( I had already worn the one from DH.) Anyway here is what I got....

The sketch Mickey Shirt for DH...so he can match me. sale 10
The little crib shoes for Eliza (I got the pair with Marie the cat) - sale 10
Cars Sleeping bag for Jake...for christmas from my DMIL (on sale for 15 bucks)
Slippers for Jake (sale for 5)
Washrags - sale for .99
2 cups that have lids, straws, and snowglobe bottoms. One for each kid from santa.

The cups are funny. When my DS first saw them over a month ago he has been asking for one. He has actually been throwing money into the fountain at the mall and wishing for one of those cups!!!!

I asked him which one he wanted (Buzz) and I told him I will tell Santa. He then said...you better tell him Liza wants Tink~!

So he made me SO SO SO Mad tonight...but he is so sweet I can't stay mad~!

thanks, it doesn't show the entire deck.....the pavers were almost the cost of the pool. We put an entire deck in front of the house. If you all can imagine the pool is on the side of our house not in our backyard. It does seem to be coming together now, although there are still issues. At this point I wash my hands and hope DH goes to bat for all!

Hate to say it Kim, but tomorrow will be no better - and perhaps worse. I have to give layoff notices to several more employees. You may recall that we had already laid off 16 employees. With the ones tomorrow it will be 34. Add to that I have been fighting (they call it negotiating) with the union over the order and priority of the layoffs - a fight that I mostly did not win - and it has not been very much fun for me.

And Saturday? Our owner wants to meet with me to discuss how we are planning to move people around so that we are not in trouble over the holidays. Another 6 day week.

Can my ship leave this Saturday? :sad2:
