They took everything we owned. The let us take 1 suitcase. DH snuck back in OUR OWN HOUSE with a flashlight and took his underwear. He said no one is touching my underwear. I said honey, did you think to get grandma's silver, your rifle, our golf clubs???? Nope, just his underwear. Silly man. They cleaned everything and gave it back after our house was fixed.

While I am sure this was terrifying at the time, knowing that you are all OK now....I can't help but at the image of this.

I am leaving tomorrow afternoon for a "weekend wedding". I am the matron of honor. This is "the wedding" I have been talking about.

I doubt that they would show GA on the Dumbotron. It is an ABC show so that should be in the stateroom. I don't watch TV on the cruise....too much else to do.

I don't think we watched anything much in the room either. There is too much to do...but can you imagine a deck full of women watching the show? Would be a hoot...they might sell a few more drinks as well....

I can't wait to see who she picks....I think her head would choose the Vet and her heart would choose McDreamy.....at least I probably would.

In total about 4-5 months. They built temporary walls on the inside of the house and then tore down the external walls. Same thing with the floors/ceilings. They were actually pretty fast since someones pool has taken how long now?

OMG! I can't imagine being out of our home for that long & not have anything. Did they put you in a hotel?

did anyone ever get the DCL cruise plan summary to print out? I did the print screen and paste to a word doc but it came up small and not very "clean"....I'm weird about these things I know.

My husband would be laughing at that. My impressive knowledge as the queen of high maintenance. HAHAHA

LOL! I should have known you last spring! My PTO friend treated me to a facial at a big spa here as a thank you for handling so much while she was gone last year. It was very relaxing & I could be talked into getting another one if it wasn't so $$$.

also - will they print this out for you upon checkin? I know conceirge gives you a personalized itinerary but I don't remember seeing about anything else.

Caroline, right now Angie, Becka, and myself will be spending the morning at the Mickey pool. DH might decide to do something. She is welcome to stay with us. DS would not mind.

Both Grey's are reruns tonight..I should have them already on the DVR....nothing much else is on...Deadwood, DH likes that show...but man, they drop the F bomb every other word...to me that makes it very unauthentic...I could be wrong but I dodn't think they used that word back then. I do have two movies I think. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and some Harrison Ford movie.

I read a trip report and a few threads where several people said it caused nail infections or a fungus. There was also a complaint about them doing a bad job...messy and missed spots.

I don't know how true these claims are but they were on this forum.

It just makes me want to avoid it all together. I think I will do what Becka is doing and get one at home before I leave.

It is rainy here but nice & cool. I am wondering when I will need to take out some of our fall clothes. Today I am off to stuff bags with fundraising info. We have the kick off next Monday afternoon. It is all starting up...though I am being selective about what I am doing. I have a meeting that morning too. Movie night is next Friday. The bookfair is the next week and I always work each day helping with the register after setting it up the first day.

Now that DD is playing soccer too I wont need to worry about DH getting home in time to keep her on practice days.

We were successful getting her cletes that fit. She decided against the black & pink ones that I picked out & now has black with a sparkly stripe on the outside. We thought that it was just a pretty shoe but once she put them on we found out that they have the red lights in the sparkly stripe when she steps down. She is hooked now! I really hope that she has fun with this. I wont be upset if she backs out but she needs to get out there & be involved in something. Having people cheer for her should boost her confidence.

and I think they are overpriced for a mani and pedi....I plan to get both before we leave...a treat to myself for doing all the packing/planning, etc!

It is so funny to me to hear everyone talk about packing up summer clothes and getting out winter ones...we really have no issue here!! But what a lot of work!

so is everyone still on the Geek challenge? I don't know what my problem is lately but I seem to not be able to get motivated nor have any energy.

Maybe after dance tonight I can take the girls on a long walk on the beach if it isn't raining.

my dd & I are doing a modified Weight Watchers. last I heard the geek challenge had just about died. hopefully I can keep up my end a lose at least a little before the cruise. my formal would look a lot better if I can just stick to it.

Desperate Housewives (is it this Sunday or did they change that night too?)
House (i missed the first one because they put it on at 8pm that week)
Grey's (i know 9pm on the 21st)
ER (10 pm ? on 21st)

oh i i think i need to learn to work the VCR because Grey's is on at the same time as The Office on Thursday's now. UGGG
