anyone who shops Gymboree - there is a circle of friends sale this weekend and you can earn your gymbucks too!

I got the Pirate Bling shirt from DD. Not to wear on pirate night but just to have. I also bought the POTC pj's from DD...they are too cute!! I am waiting to get skinny to buy anything for myself.

I also would love a pirate Mickey flag magnet. It is it not too much trouble can I put my order in?

I would like to try to find some Santa Mickey hats for our family but I don't know if I want to pack another thing. I really feel like with all these extras we are really going to be bogged down with luggage.

Becka - once we went in for a well check up and DD had a double ear infection. Talk about feeling like a HORRIBLE mother. Sometimes they get cranky and have a fever and sometimes they don't. I am amazed because I know those EI hurt like the dickens.

My best friend who moved to San Diego is waiting for her stuff to arrive so they can officially move in. She told me about a friend of hers who lives in Cape Cod, the last place they lived. This friend of hers has a teenage boy who got his lisence a little bit ago. She has always been worried and didn't let him drive much. Apparently, he was driving with 3 friends in the car around the base. They were down the street from home (on the actual street that my friend used to live) when some of the boys had the bright idea to "ride" the bumper. One of them fell of, cracked his head and died. :sad2: They couldn't have been going too fast as it is a residential area and the roads are a bit curvey. My friends feels extremely guilty that she can't be there for her friend, as her son is in shock from it all. I can't imagine being any of those parents right now. :guilty:
That is so tragic! How horrible.

Ok, I came here because it was a blue day and work is hectic and I'm feeling frustrated but after being reminded about that tragic accident - perspective perspective perspective.

Wait a minute!!! I just played around with a picture last night & nowyou are ordering Mickey flags????? :rotfl: I guess that I have alot of catching up to do...but that will have to wait . I have been busy today running errands and sorting thru the papers on the dining room table.

I have been off on a bicycling trip for the past 2+ weeks so am soooo far behind on this board -

So - before this board - am catching up on some reading at work and came across the following in a "state legislatures" publication -

"The beloved New England Fluffernutter sandwich has been the center of a sticky political debate in Massachusetts. The fuss over the peanut butter and marshmallow Fluff sandwiches becgan when Senator Jarrett Barrios said he planned to file an amendment to a school nutrition bill to restrict schools to serving them just once a week as the main meal of the day. 'It seems a little silly to have an amendment on Fluff,' he says, but he believes the issue of school nutrition is serious. The issue was serious to Representative Kathi-Ann Renstein, . . "I believe we need to preserve the legacy of this local delicacy" . . so she filed legislation to make the Fluffernutter the official state sandwich . . . both sides backed off and agreed not to debate it on the floor - at least this year. "

I think catching up on the DIS cult board will be my serious reading of the day;) .

I am going to go and call my Dr. now I feel bad. I have never had an ear infection. I was always a strep throat sort of kid. I don't want to torture her if she has an infection.

Oh I know all about the staying up and playing. DH and I are thinking of stripping the girls room bare of any toys/books and moving all that out to the playroom.....Samantha will not go to sleep. It's frustrating.

My DD, being an only child, could make a game out of playing with lint. :teeth: (She used to in church on Sunday mornings.)

So - about 7000 posts to read - at 30 seconds per post, that's 58 hours? 10 seconds per post, 19 hours?

I'll start in again at this point so I keep my job and can pay for the cruise  (or have bananas been banned? So scary being out of the loop.)

But I have to know - Bella -how many times per week do they serve fluffernutter sandwiches in Mass.?

Thus far zero inDD's school. I believe the story for this particular rep (he lives in Cambridge I think) was his children had it served 2 or three times a week - can't recall which and he didn't think that was appropriate so he was speaking as a concerned parent who happens to be a rep and then media spin before he knew it he was talking about a referendum and was vilified. I guess he'll be more cautious with his words huh.... ;)
