Last year, DH and I were Shrek and Fiona. What a blast! I was in charge of the halloween kindergarten carnival. I just know that's why DH said he would dress up, those little kids are the best!

What a fun idea!!! Did you make the costumes or buy them? Do you have a pic to post?

I saw a post earlier about dressing up for MVMCP. I found the cutest tinkerbell santa hat on ebay. I got that for DD. I also saw a santa hat with goofy ears. I am going to try to one for DS. I know they have santa hat for mickey and minnie. I think I saw them a couple years ago. I think dressing up will be neat.

I also saw someone posted about a picture that they rush you through. Where can I find more stuff on MVMCP? This is our first year and maybe only one.

Good news on the pool! The owner called us last night and agreed for us to pay half the remaining portion and he will finicj the pool while the rest of the pavers needed to fix the deck are beoing ordered.....yipppee!! So John is going over there after work! They said the pebbletec finish is about two weeks out! We ould be seimming before October!!!!!

MVMCP --- we think it's awesome. You need a seperate ticket to get in but its such fun. Most all the rides are open everything is decorated, you get hot cocoa, cookies, there is a special parade amd fireworks.

My drama queen sister bought her tickets yesterday! So she'll be coming with us and she's trying to weasel her way into our October trip, which is fine but stresses me on the ADR issue...but she always adds a definite element to my trup reports.

So, we'll be there on the 7th. I have a reservation for Tony's town square but I am trying to change it to something else.

A good night's sleep last night with minimal DIS'ing . . .

OK, I was thinking about this this morning, and this has nothing to do with Amy telling me about the "pricey" Barbosa suit while I was half asleep , but, I really think there is a better Barbosa in our group.

Becka, can you post a picture of Aaron again with that beard for comparrison? Other than his youthful good looks, I think all he would need is that hat to make a pretty good Barbosa. What do you think?

And V - can I see if I can ask you and John2 a favor? Any chance you could bring a pole for our flag to the port since you don't have to put it on a plane?

Yes , since we are the same size It would actually look cool ....im almost 6 2 ....Well John heres the hard question , would you wear this for Halloween ?? would you wear it on more then one Disney Cruise ?? would you dress up at school for the kids ??? Would you wear it to the movie opening in may ??? Would you really absorb and BE BARBOSSA ??? I know someone who could do the whole outfit ..boots and all ..a lil pricey , maybe but if your going to wear more then a few times PRICELESS

Now, if no one agrees with me about Aaron, just how "pricey" are we talking captain? Do I have to find gold somewhere?

I have absolutely NO problem being in character - that's the easy part for a ham like me.

John is there a special Mickey Santa hat? Or are you just bringing regular Santa hats? I don't want to buy Santa hats, pack them, and then see something better at WDW and buy that too, then we
d be lugging 8 Santa hats on the cruise.

OMG Tana, there are ALL kinds of special Santa hats for sale at WDW - we have the ones with Mickey Ears, and one with a Minnie bow for Sophia. You can get one's that have Stitch ears, Pooh ears, and several others. If you want Disney one's there will be plenty to choose from at WDW.

I wish they still rented them at the parks! I'm planning to buy one Thursday when we get there. We'll be using it Thurs afternoon/evening and Friday. If you're visiting the parks before then, I'd be happy to work something out so you can use ours.

Sophia says you guys could borrow hers . . . BUT, I will have to find him. IMHO, Pal Mickey is more fun away from the parks. I'm sure he does everything they advertise, but when we took him to the parks, we either did not feel him "shake", and even if we did, with all the noise in the parks, we usually could not hear what he said.

Pal Mickey needs a digital readout. Anyway, I will let you know if we find him - she thinks he is in the basement with her other stuffed animals. Of course, we do not get to WDW until late Tuesday night.
