Nothing packed yet but I have bought some things for the cruise that I need to put in my box. I usually have a big trip box (or cruise box in this case) in our bedroom that I just throw things in as I buy them, find them, etc.. then I use it when I start physically packing the suitcases about 2 weeks out.

I pack up our clothes when I go thru the summer things in October. I put the kid's outfits in ziplock bags & stash them in the corner of our room. I usually fold up some of the clothes that I will want to take for me and leave shorts & tshirts out for DH. I can stack them up in our closet. I prefer to have the suitcases packed before Thanksgiving because that weekend I put up the tree & decorate the house for the holidays. What doesn't get put up before we leave for the cruise just doesn't get put out!

Well it is almost time for me to get out of here. I went shopping over lunch and now I am going shopping after work as well. The kids need some more fall clothes. Fall snuck up on me quicker than I realized. :)

We should start taking nominations for awards like they do in High School (Most Likely to ...).

What all do we need:

Most Likely to Be Packed First
Most Likely to Be Packed Last
Most Likely to End Up on Anxiety Meds Before the Cruise
Most Likely to Almost Miss the Ship
Most Likely to Get Drunk at Dinner
Most Likely to Embarrass Their Spouse the Most
Most Likely to Embarrass Their Kids the Most

:lmao:

Please don't give me a REASON to pack the night before!!! :rolleyes1

Lisa, I was trying to watch BB on the internet last night, but it wouldn't work. I have both mediaplayer and real, but nada! :sad2: Any suggestions? :confused3

I just called my friend to see if their stuff had arrived so they could unpack and to tell her about the article from back home, but she was busy helping her DS with homework and all I got was that half their stuff was broken. :sad2: I am hoping that is not the case, but she will not be a happy camper when she calls back. Their stuff has been in long term storage since May!

you left me a milestone yesterday before I left work.... :rolleyes1

Well I really have to go now...don't get 24,000 without me! :lmao:

ROLL CALL TIME!!!

Who has started either packing clothes or laying them out?

ME!

A lot of my stuff is still packed from when we were supposed to go in June. Never unpacked (costumes, toiletries, formal wear) after we rescheduled for this cruise. :rolleyes1

I have never heard of a NOW clinic. I live in the COUNTRY!!! Our pediatrician is wonderful about being on time. Our copay is $10...we already met our deductable. So it isn't a big deal. I just hate to think of wasting the dr's time.

oh, that is good. I forget that not everyone is self-employed with pathetic insurance!! We pay out of pocket for almost everything so a pediatric urgent care visit costs me $150, and our ped is running late half the time. We have a great pediatrician, but for urgent care you can get any old yahoo that's working that day and that drives me crazy to pay and wait for poor care.

Well I have gotten the formal items and pirate stuff together. I haven't really done much of the clearance shopping for items for the cruise. We are going to a renaissance fair this weekend to see if we can get the rest of the pirate outfits together. DH actually seems a little pleased with his outfit as does DS. DD on the other hand wants to go as Elizabeth Swan/Pirate in the second movie. No lace, no dress, just black pants and a big shirt. OW teenager will be teenagers. I can't wait to start packing but I think if I do it too soon, I will regret it.

We always put up our tree on Santa's birthday but this year I am afraid to do so since we will be gone for almost two weeks and have two very hyper minature poodles. I don't want to come home to a mess. I have never put the tree up later than Dec 15th, my DB's birthday, but there is always a first. We will get home on the 21st. The tree will go up then and stay up through Jan 6th. It seems like such a short time.

my DS was really dragging when he was five but I didn't think much of it. it was summer time and we had been running. well I finally took him to the dr's and was sent to the hospital to have blood work done immediately. turns out he had mono--it had started affecting his liver function. DD also had it. she had not shown any signs yet. I felt like the worst mom on the planet. the dr explained that not all kids show symptoms when they are sick.

my DS does not show he is running a fever. he looks and acts fine but has had a fever up to 104 without me knowing. DD does not show any symptoms of ear infections. she has profound to severe hearing loss and does not have the same sensitivity as a "normal" person has. she had two severe ear infections as a child and the only way I found out was that she would not drink from a bottle. it hurt to suck. I have found other ways to figure out how they are feeling and they are finally old enough to know when they should be telling me they are not feeling well.

I hope DD is fine and I hope you get some sleep. :grouphug:

I never go by how the kids are acting because mine seem to be fine but are still sick. Once after DD was 4 & was diagnosed with strep she continued to have a fever & a croupy cough. I took her to the urgent care center on a Sunday afternoon to be checked out. This was during the big flu outbreak two years ago. We waited for 1 1/2 hours and she was smiling & skipping around like nothing was wrong. I was getting very frustrated & would have taken her home if it wasn't for the terrible coughing that she did at night like she was going to choke. :( I waited it out. The PA came in & checked her and became concerned very quickly. DD ended up having chest xrays done and they couldn't get a good oxygen count on her finger. They called in her regular pediatrician. He came in & was also concerned. She had influencial pneumonia. The stupid doctor that we had seen on Thursday at their office stopped checking her out once the strep test came back. Her doctor was livid when he found out that she hadn't been tested for the flu with the symptoms that I told them and the fact that is was so bad right then. We were there almost two hours after they closed the center. He was monitoring her and trying to treat her. She came very close to being admitted to the hospital that night. The bad thing about leaving that late is that no pharmacies were open to fill the RX for cough meds for her to sleep (and me too). I sat up with her after calling every pharmacy for 30 miles from here. Ours has an after hours number but that was the night the operator didn't staff it. OY BOY! I went in the next day to ask whay I had done wrong & the head pharmacist was very upset! Apparently we weren't the only people needing an Rx that night. I now have his home number.
we had a similar situation when kendell was 2...long story short - 3 visits to the dr in 6 days (and I am not one to go to the dr!) - ended up in the hospital for 10 days with pneumonia and had surgery to boot!!

I was checking the DCL website, maybe a Palo brunch opened :rolleyes1 ,And I also checked on the availability for Dolphins at a later time than booked. There is nothing showing for Cozumel excusions?? :confused3 I can't believe they would ALL be booked.

When I checked a few days ago, I found that I was not booked on the CC cruise. My family was, but not me. :rotfl: Maybe it was a sign I should stay on solid ground. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I did put myself on though.

Great pirate: Becka! I didn't even notice when I had to go make dinner.
