OK, I just went thru the dining stuff again and added Diana's people to the list. I was off on the count on the site and the spreadsheet so I went thru and checked each one. Vanessa's dad wasn't on the site and Carla's DH must have gotten to my spread sheet. Everything is current now.

We have 139 people linked for dining with the DIS group!!!!! Some are completely unaware of what they will be going thru. Some facts....
86 people in early dining - 5 full stations - 15 tables
53 people in late dining - 3 full stations - 9 tables

This is going to be fun!!!

did anyone call DCL about the Palo reservations problem? I haven't called yet, I might just wait until I get on board.

I have now talked to what seems like everyone at DCL.

They have sent my reservation to IT. They don't know if it is because I booked so many excursions they did not think I could do it all, or something else, but there is a serious problem with my ability to book excursions online. That being said, I pray they don't add anything else cool like the island tour that I have to call for.

What I do have now is:

Stingray Adventure 11 a.m. Sunday
Palo Dinner 7 p.m. Sunday
Palo Brunch 10:30 Monday
Costa Maya Dolphin Encounter Tuesday
Fury Catameran Sail and Snorkel Wed
Castaway Cay Island Cruise Friday 1:15


I have some spa stuff, but probably not relevant.

So, that's all fixed up! I also send e-mail to my contact about the private room. Apparently it is only available at 1 time on Monday for Brunch. But, They have our request, it is accurate and hopefully we will get it!

For those of you who still have problems with excursions:

I have spoken with Malina and Mohammed. Both of them are supervisors.

Yes, I am back and NO I haven't really completed anything. Painted a little, got out dance stuff and couldn't find some, fed DD.

I only have about 10 minutes before I have to get ready to pick up DD, take her to the dance store for new shoes and get her to class.

Tana, there is really no point in calling DCL. The system messed up & the resies are gone. I am sure that it happened to more than just the 4 of us Saturday night. Just go to RNBD when we board. If I get a brunch resie, great! If not...it won't let it ruin our cruise.

I got up lazily on Sunday morning and booked excursions. Everything went just fine thank goodness. It was probably easy because we didn't want much to begin with. I'll PM them to Lisa for the website in a little bit.

I am really looking forward to the dining "experience"

Since John has become the official spell checker I'm a little nervous about posting too much. I guess I'll just have to keep it brief.

has anyone tried printing the DCL's cruise plans summary page? My keeps printing blank with just DCL web on the top line. Very odd....

Jake loves the sand! He and our friends daughter were rolling and making sand angels at Jockey's Ridge...yick!

We'll be making sand angels at Jockey's Ridge this weekend! DS6 and I were just talking about how he totally wiped out running down one of the steep slopes last time and did a big summersault. He had sand in his ears, mouth, etc. He likes to call it Sandyland.

It only takes us about 2 hours to get there from home, so we try to go to OBX a few times a year.

I am watching the Today Show coverage and remembering that day. I took DS to 2 yr PS at 9 am then DD to her 1 year check up. On the way there I heard about a small plane hitting the tower. With images of a crop duster type plane bouncing off the building & falling to the street below I said a prayer for anyone it woud have hit on the ground. While in the room waiting for the doctor, I heard the nurses talking about a terroist attack. On the way home they announced smoke coming from the pentagon. I turned on the TV & was stunned to see both towers burning. I sat on the couch clutching DD until 11:45 when I had to pick up DS. I went right back to the couch watching TV until DS asked why someone was knocking down all the buildings. DH was at his parent's. His mom had her first tumor removed on 9/10, or he would have been out of town at meetings and I would have been even more upset worrying about him flying home.

I guess this is our generation's "where were you" event. Before this, I thought that was when the first shuttle exploded. I was a freshman in college on my way to class and heard about it from a friend on the sidewalk.

I was teaching my class. one of the other teachers told me in the hall. I couldn't wait until lunch time so I could get to a TV and see what was happening. I will always remember where I was...
