I will be praying that the power does not go out, which it does every week or so (just long enough to kill the vcr programming, agh!) The most stressful event during a vacation for me is the vcr set-up, lol.

One of DH's most important things to do before any trip is set the Tivo. Things are not packed and all kinds of other things really, really need to be done but he will sit down for an hour and set up everything to record instead. I don't mind that he does it just when he does it. To me that is one of the last things that needs to get done but for him it seems like a first priority.

I use to play backgammon in college with my roommates all the time. Not since.

We should have a tournament, games only take like 15 mins. we could do it in diversons, lol. I only play on the computer now, love the hoyle version, need to find it for mac.

BTW, I finally was able to see my reservation on DCL.com. At least I have not been deleted!

It says main dinner seating now but I can't remember what it said before. Does main=early?

I think that I have read of people buying water at staples.com & doing this for the parks.

I'd try this but i'd be afraid that the delivery wouldn't make the boat and i hear that staples doesn't guarantee which brand of water you are going to get.

(Hate to admit it; but i'm a water snob. [ Karen, if your reading, you can botton me on that comment ]Certain brands are just yuck to me. Like i refuse to drink water from either NY or canada. No offense to anyone from there. i think it's something in how those companies filter or the springs or something.)

I plan to stop at the Sam's club in Kissimmee on the way to the boat. I may just get one case water (the large sports kind; which regular stores don't carry in a case) and one case of those Lipton diet green teas (cause i know DD will drink those; and i rather have her drink that then soda.)

I am not very good at backgammon but I do love to play cards. We always take a pack whenever we travel just in case we have time to play. DH bought some CC cards for us on our last cruise and I hope we get the chance to use them sometime during the week. I would love to sit at one of the tables by the windows on Deck 9 and play rummy with DH.

And before you guys start....Rummy has nothing to do with pricing!

I also forgot to mention that my suprises arrived in the mail last night and I don't think you guys will be disappointed. My only concern now is having room to pack them. I might have to think about mailing a package to be delivered to our stateroom. Are we doing the gift thing in the terminal? the pre-sail away meet? Are we just putting stuff in the stockings throughout the week? How is this going to work?

Hey, I know what you mean about being frustrated.

It even took 2 days to get a hold of the TA to book our cruise and you would think they would be jumping when you leave a message that you want to go ahead and book 2 cabins. I kept thinking she was holding the group rate for someone else and getting really annoyed. I finally left a message that said I guess you aren't interested in our business.

I like to make sure all the little t's are crossed. Now I know for the next time.

I had that problem with the ressies - we have 2 cabins and my son is listed in the other cabin with MIL. Don't mind if MIL misses out on an excursion but obviously not going without my baby boy. I have to wait until day 75 but I was assured that they would work with me if I ran into any problems and that we could cancel if we had to. My travel agent said she just faxes a list of things to get resolved to DCL anout 30 days before. I guess if they are feeling them enough business they try and keep their clients happy.
