I'm going to sign the kids up for fencing - any fencers out there? pirates?

this club starts at age 5. Not sure if that is really too young or not.

I really want to get Jaea a Wendy costume for the cruise. But I don't want to spend $35. for it plus shipping.

Do you think I could find a blue satin nightgown - unlikely right?

Well you guys were not too chatty last night so I caught up.

I really should get to work but I am sure I will try to check in later in the day.

I hope John1/Amy have a great rain-free day!

No such luck.

I swear I am cursed. No rain for almost a month, and today it rained all day except for about two hours in the afternoon. Did not rain real hard until we were ready to leave and say enough is enough - just constant drizzle. So we were all day with pochos and umbrellas. The kids seemed to have a good time though, and we rode the "medium" coasters and kiddie rides. I did not get to ride some of my favorites, but we were there for the little ones today. Sophia is not ready for anything that goes upside-down yet . . .

I will tell you though, we are spoiled by Disney. WDW may not have the tallest, fastest coasters, but the atmosphere is soooo different. While Cedar Point is very clean and neat by amusement park standards, it does not hold a candle to the MK or any of the parks at WDW.

I'll see tomorrow if any of the pictures are worth posting.

Just got home and had to check up on my pals . . .

John - can I ask is the Western your preferred cruise - I see you have done it several times?

we would like to cruise again when the kids are ready for the Oceaneer lab.

I love spas. But that being said - I only go to my massage therapist for massages.....there is this comfort thing that I can trust her...but like someone else said...I too always wear my underwear. I guess I just don't need to take them off to be totally relaxed. Never saw the need.

And whoever talked about being claustrophobic in a wrap....it is claustrophobic and kinda gross....for that one, you wear this paper undie thingee....and they have to slather stuff on you and then they wrap you and then unwrap you and then shower you off....and you're supposed to be relaxed by all this?!!!! NOPE!!! Not for me.

I would think someone was going to cook me into "pig in a blanket" . . .

You mentioned that you can keep your panties on for a massage but the real important question we need answered is.....Can you wear your Spanx?

:lmao:

I just felt it had been too long since we had a proper Spanx joke! :rotfl:

I thought it, you said it.

Thanks Becka! :rotfl2:

Oh major meltdown this evening - I know most is due to school starting next week coupled with things this week. Now with Ernesto - will we or won't we be flying out Thursday?

My newspaper is doing a series on displaced Katrina victims who have settled in town...1 of 5 families they did are my parents...It's a good read (a little long). If you are interested here is the LINK
There is also a link to a small photo gallery on the page as well.

Elaine,

I actually prefer the Eastern. I love St. Thomas and St. Maarten. But, this is the one we decided to do this time . . . It has depended more on when we get the deal, and who is cruising with us than the itinerary. I am really hoping that Todd and the jeep tour changes my mind about Cozumel this trip. If not for Todd, I would probably be staying on the ship since I did not like the island at all last time - BUT we did have a stroller on rotten sidewalks, and never left the tourist strip.

Amy - Can you share your recipe??? I'm totally into the crockpot stuff right now b/c I have no time with these crazy football practices. And I'm catching up on the posts so if you've already posted the recipe...I'll catch it in the next few pages. THANKS!!!!!!

The recipe is so easy it's almost criminal...

I use a 2-3 lb brisket
1 bottle beer
1 large bottle Pace picante sauce
2 stalks celery(chopped)
(I add 1-2 carrots-chopped and 1 small onion- chopped-- This was not in the original recipe I just put it in and like it, so you don't really need it.)

Place celery, carrots, and onions in crock pot, next place the brisket in with fat side down. Pour beer and Pace Picante Sauce over brisket. Cook on high for 6-8 hours. I serve with mashed potatoes or noodles.

Nothing is packed. What is it with Le Cellier this year suddenly it is the most popular?? What a bummer nothing available. This is how it was in May and March. I have tentatively booked Hollywood & Vine only because of the characters. DD loves Little Einsteins and used to love Jojo when she was younger. I've never been a big fan of MGM Studios dining but I can't recall the last time I ate here and now it's a buffet? Any recent experiences. I have too many buffets on this trip. We try to eat in new places or ones we haven't eaten in a while but I'm stumped this trip. We've never eaten at Ohana for dinner and that is also on the list. I didn't even write the name of one restaurant down just the PS# - oops ADR - it's hard to switch names all of the time. Although ADR as a name I guess makes more sense.

Well no offense to the men of our group but I do believe that none of them look like Patrick Dempsey!

Becka, I would be offended if you were not completely accurate :teeth:

For the ladies. Our cousin saw Michael Vartan formally of Alias in California this week and he mentioned off hand to his sister while he was at a social gathering "I saw this guy - who was that guy from Alias?! shrug"
HELLO?! Michael Vartan!

thanks so much Lisa - it is saying the page is unavailable - but maybe too busy?

I will check again.

Am I the last one added? For us this is early planning. we still can't understand when we have trouble getting a hotel room on 3 day holiday weekends - LOL.
