She's had over 20 years of practice. How successful do you think she has been? I am easy to tame, but hard to control.

They usually have specials on port days and since we plan to stay onboard at Cozumel maybe I can get something nice for a bargain price. :thumbsup2 I'm always looking for a bargain. Christmas Eve 2004 at St Thomas they had a foot and face special that sounded wonderful. It was done on one of the heated tile loungers in the Rainforest. Unfortunately I got a kidney stone and the pain started just before I went up to the spa for my treatment. I could not sit still and by the time she started on my feet I just had to get up and leave and go to the medical unit for drugs. They did not charge me for the half of the treatment they did (facial) because I was not able to enjoy it. I thought that was very nice and I did go back up later and gave the therapist her tip anyway as I took up her time and she did try very hard to make me comfortable enough to get the treatment.

OMG!! A kidney stone on the cruise??!! That would be my worst nightmare! I have had two severe attacks, with the last one being a few years ago. NOT FUN!!!

I think I may have more time to come on now. Very busy and DH was getting a little annoyed with all of the computer time. He left for Egypt on Thurday for 2-3 weeks.

I am trying to fill up this last week before school starts (9/5) and when my best friend leaves for California. :sad1: Her DH is in the CG and she stayed here with her mother all summer while he was at school. They are leaving Friday for San Diego. Sometimes I just have to shake my head at the military. Her DH is up for a promotion and chances are very good he will get it. So instead of extending his current billet for a year, they have to move across country, then be transfered and move again by next July if he gets the promotion. Does the military like to spend all of that money on tranfers?? :confused3 All I know is that I have been spoiled with her here all summer and I will miss her terribly when they are gone. DDs won't know what to do without her kids. :worried:

Lisa - Are you still going to the Aquarium? I may have the chance to go so LMK! :thumbsup2

As I read all of the posts, I had so many comments to make, but was way too late to make them....

:welcome: to everyone joining us!

Everyones pics were great!

Hang in there Becka! :thumbsup2

Todd - I think I want to see it.

PJ - DON"T DO IT!!!

...plus a whole lot more that my little mind can't remember!!!

I always got kidney stones during my pregnancies! It was absolutely awful! The worst pain of my life (even worse than labor), I can't even imagine having one on vacation. So awful. :(

I had a bit of a scare early this am! About 6, my DD wakes me up telling me there is policeman ::cop: at the door. What?!?!?! I go down and sure enough, there he is. He was an olf friend from HS. Anyways, he begins to tell me that they were doing their rounds and noticed a window open at the restaurant. DH's brothers and some of the workers live in the apartment upstairs, but they can't hear the door, especially if they are sleeping, so they came to me. I think they had tried to call first. I ask them what window and find it to be the one that I would expect that they leave open sometimes. I call over and after the second time, get an answer. All was well, but what a fright!! Policemen aren't supposed to be at your door at 6am!! :faint:

That would totally freak me out. My first thought would be that they're there to tell me someone in my family was hurt or something awful like that. :( I did have a policeman at my door once during the afternoon. I was totally freaked out. He just wanted to know if I knew the people who lived across the street, which I didn't, so he said ok and left. I still wonder what that was all about. :confused3

Aren't they the worst!! :scared:

They are! I sympathize with anyone passing a stone. DH passed his first about a year ago. He thought his appendix was ruptured or something and was really scared. He was at work and had to drive himself to the hospital and didn't think he was going to make it.

I wouldn't wish kidney stones on my worst enemy.

The first time I had an attack, I had no idea what was going on. Why couldn't I pee!!!??? :rotfl: I ended up looking it up on the internet. Went to the hospital, but after one night, I figured I would be better off rolling and moaning in my own bed! Drugs didn't help very much. The second one, I was driving home with my mom and DDs and we were about 45 minutes from home. I was like, oh no!! After a few stops for the rstroom with no success, the pain kicked in so om drove us home. I didn't even bother going to the hospital this time.
