John, DD's best friend has a brother playing for my alma matter. He is being recruited all over the country including Stanford. He is a smart kid. So sometimes we go to support him but it makes me feel really old. We actually go to all the University games, but I bet the high school team could beat the university team. We got our tickets today and DH was laughing hard "Oh yeah, I bet you and DD are going to go to the November 24th game ha ha". It could be 15-35 degrees then and DD and I don't go to 4 hour games outside when it is 45 degrees or less... It's a policy we have.

I have to tell you what we are doing this weekend. There is this local event called paradise trout and berry days. It is in the city of paradise. Anyway, they create this man made pool about 2 feet deep and probably 24 feet long about 12 feet wide and fill it with tons of LIVE trout. Then, the kids by age group, get in this pool at try to catch live fish with thier hands. Have to say it is about the funniest thing I have ever seen. The 3 year olds are hysterical! They are either petrified or laughing like crazy. DD is so funny trying to catch those fish...

Sorry, but it is to quirky, had to share...

Lisa - How has the weather been in lovely NC? We are headed back to the OBX next Friday. We will be staying a week. The house rates are REALLY LOW because everyone is back at school. We are right on the beach in a 4 bedroom (no pool) for $800 including taxes. We split that up with my DParents, DMIL, and DFriends (only for a few days) and it is really cheap! We couldn't pass up the second trip for the year. I just hope it is nice enough to really enjoy the beach.

After I yelped in pain and stopped seeing stars and got DS to grab a napkin for me since I couldn't feel how much blood it was I was tasting....I looked down and saw DD kneeling on the floor bawling her eyes out. I thought that she was hurt but not a bit. She was sorry that she had hurt me.

I believe their "suite" is actually a Cat. 6 that was reclassified as 7 because it is partially obstructed, but it does have the plexiglass balcony - just not full width.

It has been raining all week. Today was the first clear day. We didn't turn on the AC in the van...it was only in the 80s & breezy. It is suppose to be nice in the high 80s/low 90s for the next 5 days.

That's the look I am talking about. They feel so bad. Sometimes DD can't even start to cry until I tell her I am just fine....

Yes...it's kind of hard to keep your cool and comfort the kid while you are wanting to curse like a sailor and cry yourself because you are in such pain.
