By the way there was a local story in the paper about a family with two sets of twins who were born on the same date (6 or so years apart). Can you imagine having four children with the same birthday!
That would be like having 2 Christmas Days!!!!!

We have soooooo much junk we need to get rid of. :sad2: I'm gonna have to get DrHug going on EBAy, or maybe I will just try taking some to one of those sell on EBay for you places and see how that goes. :thumbsup2

Vanessa, if you accept paypal on ebay you now HAVE to accept every form of it. You could just accept MOs if you wanted to.
If you only accept MO then you will be missing out on alot of bidders! I know I only pay with PP. I don't even look at auctions that don't take it.

For all of you Ebay Sellers, what is the easiest/best way to get started selling on Ebay on your own? I have a basement FULL of stuff that Amy wants me to get rid of - she is threatening to have a dumpster pull up!

I'm fairly tech savvy, but not too commerce or Ebay Savvy other than BUYING - Savvy?

First - Pick a few things that you want to sell.
Second - Go onto Ebay and see if there is a market for that item.
Third - If there is a market take a pic of your item and upload it onto your computer.
Fourth - I assume you have a paypal acct. Make sure you set it up to receive money...then go under "sell"
Fifth - Pick "Auction Style" and follow the step by step directions!

Once you start selling then it is easier to use turbo lister (it is free). Then you can type up all of your discriptions and upload them all at one time.

It isn't hard but it does take a while!!!

I am off to do some straightening up. My house is messy...I have been on ebay lots lately! If you have any strange desire to check out my auctions....I have the same user name there as here.

I will be back later. Have a great afternoon.

My favorite place to buy Sophia's clothes is Talbot's for Kids. They are expensive but they have great sales. They also are very good quality!

I agree re Talbots Kids and some great sales. Unfortunately they let me down this past Easter. I was so disappointed. They used to have these beautiful dresses and I thought I could get another one this past Easter and bring it on the cruise and they didn't have them this year. I was so disappointed. They had the older teen style look which I dislike.

The other places we shop are LLBean, Lands End, and Hanna Andersson. They all wear incredibly well, are a style that I find are age appropriate and I like the quality. Notice they are all online. Last year I tried Bodenusa and found some really cute tops and their big sale is also a good one. This month I got a couple of things from Garnet Hill.

Well they are back in from swimming. I'm using DD's eMac and getting the impatient stance so I need to sign off and go finish doing whatever I was thinking of accomplishing prior to getting distracted here. Have a great afternoon everyone!

John,

How was the greek festival?

The food was great - the pastry was better!

Unfortunately, we did not go to the dance this year . . .

(When I first read the post, I thought it said "Geek" Festival :rotfl2: )

Well guys, I know not everyone has the time or the opportunity to check in on the DIS Geek Challenge, but I will give you the current standings . . .

In first place on weight loss is Kathy . . . Kath1210 with a loss of 1.7551%

In second place is Brandi . . . Klineyqueen with a loss of .5618%

Bringing up the rear (so to speak) are John1 and Diana . . . Dsharpe, with no change at all.

Two of us reported exercise times: :yay:

John1 . . . 3.75 hours (almost all walking)

Brandi comes in second with 1.5 hours

Diane said she exercised two days and about killed herself, but she did not give me the times! :rotfl2:

Those are the standings for this week! It's never too late to join in, and send me your email reports for next week's update . . .

ITA. I use to buy at the clearance sales for the next year but then people started listing things at rediculously low starting bids & they were selling for less than the 75% off that I had paid. I started donating to the school carnival for prizes and toys for tots that year. I refuse to have inflated shipping costs to avoid fees like these people do.

me, too, on the shipping charges - one thing I always look for and appreciate are FAIR shipping charges - I won't overcharge just to cover my fees! :p

We were able to work together at times thru the years also. When we did we even had breaks and lunch together. We don't work together now, but are really looking forward to retirement. We were just talking about how much we are looking forward to every day together.

Such a special story - true soulmates - thanks for sharing!!

Howdy all -- just taking a moment to check in. I'm working on some stuff today, got my MouseWorld Radio on in the background, and I'm dreaming of Disney :)

DH and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on Thursday, and had friends and family over for a pool party yesterday to celebrate. House is in pretty good shape as everyone helped to clean up afterward -- still have to go out and tidy up the yard, but all in all, not too much party carnage. We rented a frozen margarita machine, which I highly recommend. It was alot of fun - though the most popular flavor was the blue raspberry slushie (non-alcoholic), go figure....

Anyway, I am going to try to finish up this project so I can go back and read this week's posts before y'all start on another week!

I know exactly what you mean . . .

Just as an FYI, I have discovered that Aleve lasts longer than Advil or Motrin . . . :rotfl2:
