Tomorrow I am taking my 17 yo cousin back to school shopping. My DMom is watching my kids. I am really excited~~~~ a whole day out.....shopping....without the kids!!!!
I better go do the dishes...I don't want DH to think I did nothing all day!!!! It is also time for GH. I'll be back tonight. We are going out to dinner with DMIL and DFIL.....I will keep you posted if my DFIL does anything funny (or embarassing if you happen to be me._)
Later
Just back from Target; that's almost always fun. Shampoo, sunscreen, passport photos, rechargeable batteries, usb flash drive: almost a cart full of cruise-related stuff (although most of it is needed now!)
Brandi, http://www.thelittlegym.com/
It's baby/toddler activity/pregymnastics; regular gymnastics for bigger kids (but not serious competitive stuff). The one near us has a great staff, but it is pricey. DS liked it, but I didn't sign up for the summer session because we'd miss too many to make it worthwhile. And in the fall he'll have preschool, so I'm not signing him up again. DD gave up the gymnastics (strictly fun, no talent whatsoever) because she wanted to start piano, which has turned out to be a much better fit for her!
I am tired of paying my student loan. If I follow the payback schedule...my brand new house (well it is 6 years old..but was brand new when we built it.) will be paid off before my student loan!!!!! Can you even imagine!
It was such a relief to pay my loans off a year after I graduated. I enrolled PT in the CC to keep my student status. For a GSL loan back then your payments didnt start being made until 6 months after you stopped attending classes at least as a PT student. Interest didn't start until then either. I worked FT waitressing & bartending in a Greek place down the street and while taking 2 business classes, put all my tips toward the loan. A month before it came due for the first payment, I walked in with my checkbook and the loan papers. They didn't know what to do. I didn't even have a payment book yet. After that I moved out & never looked back.
Yesterday my DS got a postcard from his new Preschool teacher. It was just asking him if he was having a good summer and telling him that she is looking forward to the start of school. I honestly started to cry. My firstborn is leaving the nest!!!!!!
I did not cry when my first started Kindergarden, she was bored to death and driving me . BUT I did cry the day I drove her to her first day at high school. My goodness there were really big boys there, driving cars! OY!
Just stopping by until later tonight - I have a school board meeting tonight, so who knows how much later . . .
Thought you all might want to know that I just found out that Sept. 19th is official "talk like a pirate" day". Here's the web site that can tell you all about it . . . (are you listening Todd?):
DS starts preschool the day after Labor Day (same day that the girls go back to school). We went in to the preschool to drop off paperwork, and he sat right down and started working a puzzle and didn't want to leave. The assistant director and I said to each other that he won't be one of the kids in tears on the first day!
