OK, so they can put it all in their checked bags. I guess that the airlines will be collecting lots of over limit fees?
Let's just hope it doesn't break.
And they'd better lighten up on the overlimt fees too if they are going to suddenly stop allowing carry on luggage.

I am thankful that we are not flying today. Everyone will need to keep their emotions in check today. I feel sorry for the people who are having to enforce this with everyone not aware of the changes this morning. :( NOT a fun job at all. Thank goodness our airport isn't going to be affect much with delays. They have one flight in and one flight out every couple hours. I should be fine getting there a little over an hour before flight time to check in. I don't want the kids to have to leave school before 11:30 so they count as being there for the day. It's a small plane so not alot of people to check.

And it isn't a really scary cult name or anything.

"DDD Cruisers Dis Geeks United"

DDD - Double Dip Doers? Disney Double Dippers? I can't figure out that 3rd D

I thought it was December -- December Double Dippers... .thought it could be actually 4Ds... 4Ds heading for the 3Cs....

Diehard December Double Dippers headed for Cozumel, Costa Maya, Castaway Cay

(5 Ds if you throw Disney in at the beginning)

Okay, back to my corner... I have work to do today. My company is in the middle of a merger and my boss was just assigned to be the transition team project leader. Hopefully we'll close the deal by Nov 30th. I am so going to need this vacation!

Angie, BTW wanted to RSVP on the cpap and bag. Last trip I bought a Samsonite rolling computer bag. It holds my cpap, laptop, and camera gear - barely. It's better than what I had (got it at Sam's Club), but still not perfect. It would have never worked with my old cpap - it was the size of a large loaf of bread. My new one is like the mini loafs you get at a restaurant - much more compact, so it fits.
John
Thanks, DrHug still has the big loaf one! It is smaller than the first one he had though which was the size of a bread box. Would really love to get all his stuff into one carryon though. Although, with the current flight situation we may be even more restricted with our carryons. He would be really, really stressed if he had to check his cpap, camera and laptop. :furious:

My dad is flying to China this morning, and although I don't think his flight is any more threatened than before, I am still concerned for him. He is not a patient man, and increasing his wait time at the airport is just not a good thing... They just woke up so I just called and told them to turn on the news. At least he will be able to move his carryons to his checked bags...

pixiedust: for your Dad. What a mess.

And, It's good to see you Joy. Good luck with that new assignment.

You are right! December Double Dippers. There are actually 4 Cs on our trip....

Castaway Cay
Costa Maya
Cozumel
Castaway Cay (well if you could the C in CC it would still be 4 with the one listing. ;))

I think shipping booze across state lines is illegal. I know it would be illegal to ship it here to GA.
It is a state by state thing. We had wine shipped from Key West to Oregon with no problem, but at that time Oregon wines could not be shipped to FL. FL law has changed I think. If you go on the web and are trying to ship wine basket gifts there is a list of states that won't allow it to be shipped in. We ran into this last Christmas when DrHug was doing some shopping for friends out of state.

It is a machine that helps you keep breathing while you sleep. Those with severe sleep apnea need it.

Continuous Positive Air Pressure. A machine that keeps my sweetie breathing while he sleeps. For sleep apnea.

I thought it was something like that. One of the few Blue Laws left here is that nothing like that can be shipped into GA.

Good thing current cruisers can pack it in their luggage. The local UPS store would have a nighmare trying to keep up with who is shipping what where.

Thank you.
No wonder I couldn't figure it out. I was trying to make it a photography thing.

BTW - on the news this morning - people at the local airport filling up the trash cans with liquid stuff (shampoo, etc) because of over the limit fees - cheaper to buy new shampoo, etc. than to stuff it in the bag and pay extra fees. They better figure this one out! Bottles of booze are heavier than shampoo!

All the winos at MCO will have a good weekend if they don't!

It isn't so bad after all....that stuff can be put in your checked bags. :)

Lisa, you've seen how they treat checked bags, right..... :lmao:

great i can just see all the leaks/etc all over the cargo holds...
The baggage handlers union will have a field day.......

Can hair spray still come on the plane?

i like to keep mine in a pressurized area (it's not available at just any store either)
Guess this is great news for the Walmart in FL.

and i have to have my bottle of water with me..... :furious:

I'm not paying $3.50 a bottle at the airport and don't even think about fountain water. This is ridiculous.... I've also been on flights where you don't get beverages until 1hr into the flight due to turbulence. What are they going to do let you get dehydrated?

Now watch airlines will start charging for drinks and make a small fortune. :furious:

I did consider "Cult of the DDD Cruisers DIS Geeks United" but didn't want to offend anyone by putting cult in the thread. Not anyone in the group now...but anyone not knowing us and just what the word may imply for some people.

Anyhow....you don't think that you would wonder why there were a bunch of people saying that they were geeks? :lmao: We have them all here....band geeks, techie geeks, greek geeks, D&D geeks, camera buff geeks...... :)
Ok, I'm trying to figure out what kind of geek I am. I am not a band geek - although I know and love some band geeks - I am not a techie geek - although I know and love some techie geeks - I am not a greek geek - although I know and love some greek geeks - I am not a camera buff geek - although I know and love some camera buff geeks - and I don't know what a D&D geek is :confused3 I certainly could be considered a Disney geek. So, geek by association with all of the above and Disney geek by my own actions I guess. :rotfl: :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :lmao:

OH yes! I forgot the most important one of all...a Disney geek! :lmao:
