I think I know where that is - close to the mall with IKEA maybe? We're in Washington County, but used to live near Glen Burnie.

How do you like Maryland? I grew up in Michigan, but moved to MD/DC area in 1983. I like MD a lot! Close to the ocean and the mountains!

Yes the IKEA is in White Marsh which is very close to where we live.

We lived in Montgomery County, Maryland for awhile in the '80s and '90s. We are very familiar with whole area. We grew up in NC and still love it there; especially the mountains. In the last 24 years we have lived in Georgia, Maryland, Virginia, Texas and Oklahoma before coming back to Maryland. Our jobs move us.

When we retire it will be Florida near Uncle Mickey and his boat!
:thumbsup2

Off to the grocery store... anyone need anything? :)
Thanks for the lens thoughts, Brack.
What lenses do you have now; what ones do you use the most?
I'll be back later.

I use a Canon 28-135mm with the stablization almost 99% of the time. I still have the Canon EFS 18-55mm that came with the camera but seldom use it.

I have a Canon 70-210mm with my EOS1 film camera.

Better- good or better manageable pain. Back pain is just terrible.

Manageable. I am taking darvocet and a muscle relaxer. I sit in my recliner with a heating pad.

Did you Dr. tell you to use heat? I always used heat on my back but then they told me that heat was not good and to use ice. It did not feel as good at first but I think it has helped me over time.

PJ > WAY TO GO GIRL!!!!! Do you play bingo often?? Your luck was great this week. :woohoo:

Kim > The check in at the resort is only for land/sea packages where you use the same KTTW card for both the ship & the resort.

Kim > Tea with Wendy is at 4 pm on Monday.

Lisa, does DCL have any idea of how many people you have in this "group"?

Kim

They think that we are at the 109 number still I believe. Remember, not everyone is linking for dinner.

Happy Limo told me it is an hour to the port from WDW. Is that correct?

YES! Give or take a few minutes.

Kim (again) > We do not let the kids keep their KTTW cards. This year since they have the allowance and are saving up specifically for the cruise/vacation they will be allowed to buy things with that money (they will pay half the cost of anything.) I will still have the right to veto but anything within reason & their budget will be allowed.

Kim.....they have a BBW at Disney now? The kids don't need another bear but if they do, they can get an accessory...like Mickey ears. :)

Becka - 2007? My DD - because of her Halloween bday will start in 08!!

I am watching the JonBenet movie.....such a sad sad case - and I am sure we will never know what truly happened.

Tonight's dinner....Italian chicken, onions and green beans and corn on the cob.

John1 ----- I have avoided all BABW.....and if John2 sa on at the Jake, he'd be all over that, for the girls of course!!

I got up early and did a 45m walk on the beach - ALONE! Very very nice!

DS will be five next May and the cutoff here in MO is August 1 so he will be old enough for K next fall. It seems hard to believe but I think he will be more than ready. :)

Well I just finished going through 5 boxes of Nathan's old clothes. I was feeling pretty good about it but DH was looking a little green at times. I am not sure he is entirely ready to let go of the baby years. I think I was just able to confirm that I really was. I kept a few outfits that I could not stand to see go because they mean so much to me but it was only 2 outfits and a t-shirt.

Good for you!!! :) I know of some people who keep everything. WHY? The clothes usually get stained & yucky before your kids have kids so there is no point in that. I got stuck with a big bag of clothes from when DH & his brothers were little. They were passed on to my by one of my SILs. If it wouldn't have cost so much to ship all of them to the other SIL I would have sent them with their first child last year. Instead...well...I don't think anyone will be finding them any time soon. ;) I put each of their coming home outfits with the set that I crocheted for them (blanket, sweater, bonnet, booties, & mittens) and a couple others for DS. I kept a bag of 3-6 month clothes for DD. I planned to get a doll that size and wanted to use them as outfits. I found a perfect doll at a craft show three years ago...and that stuff is now up in DS's closet until she settles down a little bit more.

Palo was a different story! Our server kept bringing us what we ordered and almost everything else on the menu! It was all delicious!

That is an entirely different experience!!! :) Your server wasn't Marco by chance?

I sure am glad disposables are available now. :thumbsup2

Cloth isn't so bad...even DH changed them (though they were always a little looser when he did). I never had one of those blow outs when they were in the cloth and plastic covers like happens with the disposable. The elastic really makes a difference. Now, I'm not saying that they didn't make messes...just that it didn't get outside of the diaper pants.

So since I am thinking about dinner I went to look at the cruise menus again. How much does everyone typically order a night? Do most people order two entrees or two apps, etc? Do most people order an app, soup/salad, entree and dessert? Just kind of wondering what the typical cruise meal is for everyone.

Well, on Thursday I order a small greens salad (don't eat very much though), 2 or 3 lobster tails, and lava cake. :) I haven't ordered more than one entree for myself...DH & I might share an extra one to try...but I have ordered more than one desert. :)

Last cruise was different for me. On the first one I enjoyed the food so much & felt like I had to finish everything. I was pretty full all day...we didn't snack inbetween meals at all. On the third one I decided that I would just eat a little of everything I ordered and not feel badly. The first night I hardly touched my food because I was still recovering from a bug. I ordered the Grande Manier souffle for desert because I just HAD to have a taste. I knew that I couldn't eat more than a couple bites...but I enjoyed them. I wish that I had understood the menus better because I would have requested one of them the next night. (The first three nights the dining rooms use their specific themed menu so they each have the same menu available for three days. ;) )

There is a BBW in downtown Disney CA, I guess I just assumed there was one in Orlando. We did not go to downtown Disney last time we were at WDW....

Becka.. Have you been reading the main post about airfare from KC? The Ding thing? $122.10 round trip?

Kim

Well the girls are bathed and in bed - after a nice walk around the neighborhood. DH is watering and I am going to bravely venture outside while the girls are still awake in bed!

I keep looking at the prices of those 10/11 day cruises in September. I so wish I had the money and the time off from work. That would be so much fun. I would love to visit St. Lucia and Antigua.

I got the TA e-mail last week that had a FAM trip price for TA's at $250/$275/person. If only it was not back to school rush as the store.
