I say that God doesn't have that bad of a sense of humor to do that to me.

I pray not anyway. There was a point a few weeks ago that the thought wasn't as terrible....it would have been a relief to have everything I have been going thru be because of that.
Well, apples are out & chocolate chips are in. I really hope that a crock pot can be used just like a slow cooker. Here's what is in the kitchen cooking.
RECIPE
Slow-Cooker Chocolate Chip Pudding Cake
1 pkg plain devil's food cake mix
1 pkg 3.9 oz chocolate instant pudding mix
1 container sour cream 16 oz
4 large eggs
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tsps venilla extract
1 pkg chocolate chips (6 oz...or more

)
cooking spray for misting the slow cooker
ice cream for serving
1/ Place the cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, eggs, oil, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Add 1 cup of water. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until blended, 30 seconds. Stop the machine and scrape down the side of the bowl. Increase the mixer speed to medium and beat until the ingredients coem together and are well blended, 2 minutes longer, scraping down the side o the bowl again if necessary. Fold in the chocolate chips.
2/ Mist the bottom and side of a 4 1/2 - 6 quart slow cooker with vegetable oil cooking spray. Transfer the batter to the cooker and cover it. Cook the cake until it is quite puffed in the center and begins to pull away from the side of the cooker, 3 1/2 hours on high heat or 6 1/2 - 7 hours on low heat. Spoon the warm cake into serving bowls. Serve with your favorite ice cream. Serves 12.
