 Have you ever done it before? I'm kind of scared (that whole fear of heights thing) so I'm making DH go tandem with me.
We've never tried it. I'm not usually afraid of heights but then my distance vision is a little off. We wanted to on the last cruise but....

We were waiting to board the boat when a CM contacted us about DD. She was eating lunch with the kids when she fainted. So...

DCL sent a golf cart to get us
They credited the parasailing
There was a nurse with DD when we arrived
They golf carted us back to the ship and we had lunch in the room.

The moral of the story. EAT BREAKFAST! and Don't worry about the kids. I think they would have pulled us out of the sky if necessary to get us back to DD.

:grouphug: I suffered with anxiety and panic disorder for years. It is really scary when it first hits because it really does seem to mimic symptoms of heart problems. I can't tell you how many tests I had done and how many times I went to the ER or doctor certain that I was having a heart attack. :sad2: I've finally got a good grip on it now though and my anxiety attacks are few and far between and certainly not near as scary now that I know what it really is.

It does help to know what it isn't...that's for sure. Waiting for the results from the cardio cscan wasn't helpful to relieve anxiety...that's for sure. I have a strong family history...but not I know that I did not inherit the blockages...though you can have an attack from stress. I am having to wait until the kids are back in school to start to manage this better. I don't want them to both be at home and be knocked out for a few days to a week while adjusting to the meds.

I had one after a trip to the Dentist years ago, haven't had one since and never had one before that, the pains in the arm scared me the most.

I feel so stressed out about my son. He was fine all day then tonight he had a bit of a fever (around 100) so I gave him some motrin at 5:00. Then at bedtime it was about 101 but I put him in bed. I went back at 10:00 to check on him and he was on fire. I took his temp again and it was almost 105!!!! I freaked out! I got cool rags ( which he liked...but I felt it wasn't doing enough) so I got him out of bed and stuck him in a luke warm bath. When he started to shiver I knew it started to drop. I gave him some more med and put him back to bed in his underware only. His temp dropped to almost 103. I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight. High temps really worry me. He has no other symptoms and he keeps saying nothing hurts. Two of my nieces had this on Mon and Tue...24 hrs with a fever then nothing. I know I will be in there all night. I will be keeping my self company with the dis!

Sending blessings for your baby Brandi!

The children's hospital in Atlanta has an all night nurse line for panicky parents. Is there anything like that where you are?

I was thinking that but I didn't say it! Glad you did Lisa! You made me laugh!

:rotfl2: It's the same thing that John's smilies show.

:grouphug: I'm always a nervous wreck when one of my kids gets sick. Sounds like the same thing that happened to my DS just before we were supposed to leave for the June 10th cruise (we rescheduled to this cruise), he had a high fever like that but said nothing hurt, just kept shivering and saying he felt so cold, but his temperature was so high. I was terrified. He was better after about 2-3 days though. Just kept giving him Ibuprofen and cool baths and put a fan in his room to circulate cool air.

Praying for a speedy recovery for your son.

Night all, DD is asleep on the couch and DH is asleep on the floor. I need to round these two up and get them to bed.

It is 10 min orientation, 30 minute feeding, and the rest of the hour to swim with the rays. They say you can use a snorkel. Are you doing the 11 am too, :scared1: ?

So I got my packet, but the excursion details are not real useful, and there is no real details. Will they send out excursion sheets like the ones on castawayclub.com, before we have book?

Pj

We were going to try the 10 am but your reasoning sounds good. :) The sheet on their site & the DIS are what you get on the ship...lot of good that does, eh? ;)

Lisa,

When are you going on your trip? I found this smiley for positive thoughts...

But, I cannot figure out how this works..

Thanks! My pediatricians office can be called all night and the hospital also has one of those lines. I called the nurse at our DR office and she basically said to get him in a luke warm tub and give him the meds. Basically ride it out and see...just like Lisa said. I just hate when the kids are sick.

The cramping in my neck & shoulders hurts the most for me. The arm goes numb if I don't calm down in time. I had everything that morning...chest pains when I tried to get up then reached for anything then all the time...nausea...shoulders feeling like a charlie horse then going down my left arm. You know you are in trouble when the nurse at the desk stops talking to someone else & asks what is wrong with you then says birthdate? & go sit down now.

Thanks. We have all been there with our kids...it just is no fun!

:thumbsup2 You can watch me scream like a baby when they start lifting me into the air. :rotfl2:

We...I mean YOU need someone to take pictures. ;)

:wizard: for DS Brandi!

The only time one of mine had that high of a fever was when I wasn't home. My friend was watching them as I was aeay for a funeral and spending the night. Boy has she never let me live that down! Things like that have never scared me though. I think it is because Sarah, the oldest, was 13 weeks premature. She was just under 2 lbs at birth. Having her in the hospital for 10 weeks made me able to have faith that others can care for my kids and to have faith that all will be well. The first words from the neonatal doctor was "well, she has a 50/50 chance" I just closed my ears to him after that and never had a negative thought! I also get it from my mother. She is always calm in any situation.

Yeah, awaiting those test results is so stressful. I was once hooked to one of those 24 hour heart monitors and had several anxiety attacks during that 24 hour period so I was certain they would find something wrong with me, but it came back normal.

I think it took me several years to actually accept the diagnosis of anxiety/panic disorder. Meds did help a lot though, I no longer need them but they were a life saver early on.

No Packet :sad2:

Lisa, you have me worried. Last Wednesday I had nausea, heart spasms along with a fever and since then I have had what I thought was a muscle spasm in my left shoulder and upper arm. I have had massage and ice and heat treatments and still it hurts, can't turn my head. Should I be concerned?
