I feel so stressed out about my son. He was fine all day then tonight he had a bit of a fever (around 100) so I gave him some motrin at 5:00. Then at bedtime it was about 101 but I put him in bed. I went back at 10:00 to check on him and he was on fire. I took his temp again and it was almost 105!!!! I freaked out! I got cool rags ( which he liked...but I felt it wasn't doing enough) so I got him out of bed and stuck him in a luke warm bath. When he started to shiver I knew it started to drop. I gave him some more med and put him back to bed in his underware only. His temp dropped to almost 103. I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight. High temps really worry me. He has no other symptoms and he keeps saying nothing hurts. Two of my nieces had this on Mon and Tue...24 hrs with a fever then nothing. I know I will be in there all night. I will be keeping my self company with the dis!

I remember when DS woke up with a 105 fever one night. I called our ped & he said to just let it run its course. If it was still there in the morning, bring him in. The fever is killing some bacteria in his system...it is doing its job. That doesn't make it any easier but you aren't alone.

I am watching the mystery medical special on ABC. Hey isn't there a Dr. in this group now? On our last trip to Hawaii, DH Dr. was on the plane and they announced "is there a Dr on board?". Someone had forgotten to take thier insulin and did not bring any, so he had to sit with them the rest of the 4 hour flight. His wife had to take care of all of thier kids. He was so nice about it, just shrugged it off....


I digress.... sorry!

Every hour on the hour from 10 am til 3pm.

Most say the 10 am is hard to get to on time, as it is over near the teen beach.

Have you ever done it before? I'm kind of scared (that whole fear of heights thing) so I'm making DH go tandem with me.

I am so sorry! That is so sad. We are with you in spirit! I hate it when kids are sick.

Kim, unfortunantly I was so into the kid's school last year as PTO secretary...taking care of most things while VP (a dear friend) was in CA taking care of her terminally ill father for three months, including planning a carnival which I had never done before, room mother to both classes with only one other mom showing up in DS's room...none in DD's room...and ran the egg hunt for both the first grade & kindergarten classes (which resulted in multiple complaints from non-finger-lifting teachers and parents)...that after putting in over 450 hours, I removed my name from the ballot the day before the election meeting. After finishing up the rest of my responsibilities a few weeks later I finally started working on the kid's rooms...with things that I had purchased months before...but never had time to do with PTO obligations & the fact that DH was gone from 1/14 for 4 months....that after 3 days of rest I thought that I was having a heart attack & went to the doctor's office after dropping the kids off at school at 8 am. After multiple tests over a few weeks, I found out that I have developed an snxiety disorder & suffered my first anxiety attack. So yes....someone else is going to have to step up & take over because I just can't do it anymore. I don't have the tummy for the political BS that goes on.

I suffered with anxiety and panic disorder for years. It is really scary when it first hits because it really does seem to mimic symptoms of heart problems. I can't tell you how many tests I had done and how many times I went to the ER or doctor certain that I was having a heart attack. I've finally got a good grip on it now though and my anxiety attacks are few and far between and certainly not near as scary now that I know what it really is.

It is 10 min orientation, 30 minute feeding, and the rest of the hour to swim with the rays. They say you can use a snorkel. Are you doing the 11 am too, ?

So I got my packet, but the excursion details are not real useful, and there is no real details. Will they send out excursion sheets like the ones on castawayclub.com, before we have book?
