I played the snare (?) and the drum set, not the marching honking heavy one. I probly would have stuffed it over my band teachers head.
I can't even imagine telling someone they can't pick an inst. because they are a girl. That is just crazy! Although, I did have to tell one little (very little) boy that he was too small for the tuba. He had to start with the baritone. He insisted on the tuba until I got it out for him and he literally couldn't pick up the case. :confused3 He was a good sport. He just laughed and took the baritone!

Just hoping no drums for the boys.

Not me...I pray that he won't pick the sax. I cringe when I have to give beginner sax lessons. That is the only inst. I can't stand! I want him to take violin next year. We will see how that goes....

I was Delta Gamma in College. My HS didn't have Sororities either.

I don't know any HS that have sororities but they are probably out there. What I meant was that my college did not have a Greek system.

I was the rebel geek! lol

Band (concert, marching, pit)
NHS
French club (but I never took French)
Key Club (went to two meetings)
Yearbook (couldn't tell you what I did)

I joined most as a Junior or Senior - had to look good for college

Ok, all of this "busy server" stuff drives me nuts! See ya later!! :wave2:

My husband thinks I should spend as much time talking to him as I do to you. :confused3
Ahh, I'm familiar with that one! My stock answer is "It doesn't feel like I'm on there that long. Are you sure I wasn't just checking email?"

I was in the French Club in HS...and I took French but I mainly joined because a hunky football player was president of the FC!! ;)

I just remembered that DH was in the band in HS...trumpet. He was also a member of the Marching Hokies freshman year in college at VA Tech. :)

Lisa where do we stand on the iron on since I lost a complete day ???

pirate:

Well, nothing has been posted about them since I worked on the one with the blue border & red Mickey heads last night. I thought that you or PJ were working on them. Do you read thru the posts already?

also - I was thinking of having our names embroidered on the shirts...unless - are we doing name tags?

Here goes....I was in Girl Scouts 12 years. I was in my 11th year when they came out with the Gold Award & earned it the next year. I was an assistant leader to a brownie troop my last year too. In HS I volunteered in the school office every year, was on the debate team (lettered), student government HR rep, Latin club, FBLA, COE senior year (left school at 11 am to work at Beneficial as a collection assistant), and typist for the yearbook senior year (before computers so I really had to type on those carbon things and what a pain that got to be!!!).

I was in Girl Scouts until it was discontinued for lack of leaders. About 5th grade or so.

for the iron on - do we just copy to our computer and then print out on iron on material?

Yes, get the dark image iron on sheets. :)

Well, we have talked about doing the IDs & names on one of the sleeves & name tags.

Last time I had them

John Smith
DIS ID's DH or DD or DS

Ok my office is freezing...my nail beds are blue!

It is so hot here that when I got back in the car after walking thru Target the plastic on the cruise control buttons next to the window in the Explorer were melted. I got black mess on my finger. :(

I remember the images for last year's name tags - I think it just got pushed down on my list for whatever reason!

That is a shame. I loved scouts...it got me out of the house for camp in the summer alot. :thumbsup2 I didn't have a senior troop. I just stayed on with the cadettes with another girl & the leader just signed of on our projects & badges. I had a mentor assigned by the council for the gold award so I could have been ok without a troop that year. It was pretty neat. :) It is the equivalent of the Eagle Scout award in Boy Scouts. LOTS of work!

Why didn't you want to bring a snack?
