Great pictures John. He's in for a "bumpy ride" but it can be fun too.

I don't think I have kept this thread up to date on what has been happening with Nathan but here is my link on the CB: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1565191

They have now fed him stuff he allergic to FOUR times!!!!! I am going to be camping in the principal's office this morning until they understand that this is NOT acceptable!!!!!

I've been following your other thread, Becka! I hope you are successful in your meeting today.

Happy 4th Birthday Walt!!!! :)

I would dig up some special smilies but I am at work and not at home. Hopefully I will remember tonight.

Congrats to Alex as well! He already look the part of the doctor in that coat. ;) The whole family looks very proud and rightfully so. Going to medical school is a big accomplishment and he wouldn't be there without the love and support he obviously got from his family.

Walt - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

John and Amy, wow first days for both! They both look perfect! Love Sophia's American Girl Backback - Did you get Alex a new medical bag? Do Dr.'s even use those anymore?

Becka, I think you and Lisa and Kristina need to come to my school. Lots of :grouphug: !

Kim

Happy Birthday Walt!!!!

John - your son looks great! I am sure you are very proud!!!

Becka - good gracious...your school has some issues!!!! That is not acceptable!

I thought I recognized the dress Sophia was wearing. I bought that for my niece for her doll as a b-day gift!

We all survived the first week!!!!

We had one really insane thing happen this week. A parent has not been there to get their kindergarten student off of the bus. The drivers are not allowed to drop them and they must return the kid to school. Yesterday we pressed charges (it happened on Wed and we did nothing.) The parent was flipping out and cursing at school because he was fined. Today when she was returned we called the police and they are calling children and youth association.

I can't even believe it....not getting your "baby" for 3 days in a row!!!! That is just crazy! The whole situation breaks my heart!

:grouphug: Was he ok? I mean of course it wasn't ok for them to do that but did he have a really bad reaction. I hope not for both of you. That is totally unacceptable and if you can't get anywhere this time I would try going right to the school board...of course YMMV with that but if you have a better one than we do here you might get somewhere with them. ;)

Happy 4th Birthday to Walt!

:bday:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WALT!

He is probably in bed by now, but we were at our favorite fall passtime - HS football, and we Won again in our new stadium!

Congrats to Alex as well! He already look the part of the doctor in that coat. ;) The whole family looks very proud and rightfully so. Going to medical school is a big accomplishment and he wouldn't be there without the love and support he obviously got from his family.

Thank you Becka, what a nice thing to say.

Kim

Yeah, Sophia really likes that backpack! No bag for Alex, I don't think they use those anymore. Someone on the other thread explained to me that the coats are short because longer coats mean how long you have been in the medical profession. I just thought they were cheap or got a deal on the short coats!

John - your son looks great! I am sure you are very proud!!!

Thanks Brandi, we are!

Well, the loan application is signed and tomorrow is the home inspection. Mike is going to stick around and follow the guy around but I am just going to give the kids the chance to see our new home and the wonderful backyard. We might go for a walk to see where other kids are located too. William is concerned about there being other kids nearby. :)

Today I found out one thing that both Mike and I area a bit perterbed about. The listing flier states that there is a termite contract in place. Well, I called the company to find out how to go about transferring it to us when we purchase the house and they told me that the owners let that expire two years ago but she did order an inspection for next week since they are selling the home. I asked our agent to contact the seller agent as ask what their intensions are with that. One of the selling points was that the house was already bonded for termites and we would only have to pay for the yearly inspections. Now if we want the house covered for termites we will have to have it bonded again...that cost us around 1000 for this house a few years ago. :( Not too happy about an extra expense for this...but Mike says that it wont stop him from buying the house.

Is there a "general" termite problem in NC? I can honestly say I have never even seen a termite in the wild. Good Luck Lisa!!!!

I think in general the further South you go (warmer) the more bug problems in general. One reason why we like to visit Florida, but with bugs that could carry off small children, not sure if we would want to live there!

Good Saturday from the mountains of WV. It is a wonderful day here ...... not too hot and not too cold at night.

Still .... in less than 48 hours we'll be at WDW with our DS for a week. :woohoo:

Howdy everyone!

John, I LOOOOVE the pics! You and Amy must be beaming proud of your son. And Sophia looks adorable too :)

Becka -- the teacher's attitude is worrisome. Sarah started kindergarten last month too. Her teacher is the same teacher that Nick had 3 years ago. At back to school night, she told the parents: "When you leave your kids and trust them to my care, I become their parent, and I will treat them as if they were my own." It sounds like this teacher doesn't want any more responsibility than is legally required of her. That's just pathetic and sad. I hope you are able to work through this and that there are no more incidents (crossing fingers!).

My husband's brother is getting married tomorrow and we're in the middle of a heat wave... lovely. The wedding is at 3 pm and we'll be melting by then, ugh. (Scott's in the wedding party -- full tuxes, of course, and it's outside!)

Have a fabulous long weekend!!!

About 12 hours now until WDW. :woohoo:

Our DS is already there. He called from the Jungle Cruise. :)
