Back from vacation in NCI'm sad because it was two great weeks and now I am back to the grind
Two more days in the office and then the weekend at camp for family retreat. It will be a good weekend but still it is work for us.
then as my friend Jimmy Buffett says: "Come Monday ...."
We fly out at 7AM for WDW
OK Brack, I am putting these three together, and not feeling too much sympathy - we won't get back to WDW until December! What I am feeling is ENVY!
My next vacation is in NOVEMBER, when I am attending the annual school board conference.
I feel like the grind is grinding me!

Hey there all! The deal fell through so for now the kids are back at the school. 
Noone is liking it very much. I went out last night and picked two houses for Mike to look at after work. His comment? If we are going to pay that much we may as well go back to the house we put an offer on and raise the amount.
Time to take the kids to school and then clean this house. Thinking that we could start packing made me not so motivated to straighten up.

First day of school tomorrow for Sophia.
And . . .
I have to take her out early to attend her brother's ceremony. We were looking for the paperwork she needs to take to school tomorrow, and guess what? Her aunt took her shopping for school supplies over the weekend, and took all the paperwork back with her to Toledo!
Glad I took the day off. Guess I will take a trip to the office to fill out the paperwork!
Just figures it is the dorky school board member!
Brandi - whenever you get a chance, let us know how the new school is going - I bet it is exciting and chaos all at the same time!

I could not have said it better. This is our first year with a breakfast program. Buses arrive so late they can't have breakfast and parents are MAD! There are still a few construction workers coming around and doing little things. There are just so many little "problems" I am THANKFUL I am not the principal. We don't even have a "real" superintendent. We have a temp. our super. quit in June. It has been madness!
On the flip side, the school is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love my classroom. I went from a total dump to this beautiful state of the art building!

Hello All!
The PTA President of North Park Elementary is still ALIVE! I doubted it could happen, but I made it through back to school night last week, Savannah's first day of School last Thursday and I think I have entered all of the paperwork for flouride, t-shirts, hoodies, wristbands, PTA membership, Non Directory Students etc.... that I have so far.
Sorry I have not been on the board, I have been out of town for work for 2 of the last 4 weeks and the other 2 are thankfully over. Why did I say yes to this?
Marielle, my first major was piano performance. I have played a lot of pianos in my life. I have one word for you Stienway. Or kawai (not sure on that spelling)
Angie and Dennis, my heart aches for you and your family. How wonderful that they have such good parents to lean on when life gets bad.
Becka, Because I have been in the school non-stop for the last few weeks this advice comes from listening a lot. I adore our principal so keep that in mind, but whenever a parent comes in with a legitimate concern and addresses it like an adult it is quickly solved and parents leave happy. I am sure (from Lisa's experience) that not all administrators are like mine. I think he deserves a huge raise. They always have positive things to say about those parents afer the parents have left which is usually the true test. Tell the teacher and principal your concerns.
Brandi, I have new appreciation for you as a teacher.

I know it is hard to feel sorry for someone on vacation but I have had to suffer a little at work this work. My chief accountant resigned today which is bad and good. It'll be hard to get the work done but eventually I'll get someone to fit the job.
I ought to stay home next week but I'm not! Mickey here I come.

OK, so that house is on again. Mike just needs to schedule a time to look around it again before we put in another offer. Here all they need for registration is a utility bill which, in their minds, shows that you are living somewhere since it is unlikely that you would pay for someone else's utilities. Hopefully if it all goes well, since Mike is resolved to paying their offer, that we will have that in place by next week. FINGERS CROSSED!!!

I am sitting here sick to my tummy because I am waiting for the agent to call back with the response from our offer. We came down 2k to cover the payment for a month while they stay there, which will give them the chance to rent a place until their new house is built.

Fingers, toes and eyes crossed and prayers said for your real estate adventure and ours. We still have not heard from the agent who is talking with our neighbors property manager. It was 4 weeks on Monday so hopefully within a week or so we will hear something.
