Thinking about what Mary said their design was for the first DD cruise, I cleaned up the design a bit...changed the DCL design to color...and added a little special touch to it. :)

40 more pages to go....but I have to say - this looks great Lisa!!!

Cool! We are now up to 67 fools wearing those shirts. :) We should be easy to spot. ;)

....still catching up....but we have 3 lime green shirts....DH would never wear one.....so he'll be the odd looking one in our boarding pix.

Only half the workday left to go! Yeah!!

I bought the t shirts, but I never wear a regular cut tshirt except to the gym so we'll see how it fits!!

I am going to pick up more Mickey heads at Home Depot tomorrow!! :)

I got my magnets out from last year and several I can use again but most have the year on them!! Time to make new ones!

Hey double dippers!

We're thinking about joining you guys on the Dec 9 DD cruise. Will someone who has done this before tell me why its great!? We've been to Costa Maya and we weren't too impressed, and we'd really like to see St T and St M again, but the 2 stops at CC is so tempting! Is CC really that great? Seems like a popular cruise, so there must be something about it!

Thanks! :sunny:

Karen - My DH hates lime green (actually any green) as well so I got him a navy blue one. Since I didn't want DH to be left out I went ahead and got DS a navy blue as well so it is the girls in green and the boys in blue. :)

We got our insurance through AAA. They covered the cruise, flight, MVMCP tickets, hotel for 5 days, rental car....everything and it was still cheaper then Disney!!!!

We just had our old car (the one that died and was replaced by van) towed to the junk yard. The guy handed me a check for $100.00. It was a weird feeling seeing it get hauled off. :confused3

DH told our son that they were going to turn it into toasters. Jake believed him and was quite ok with that transition!

HLAburn - I can't speak for everyone else but we liked the idea of a DD because of the two stops at CC and that trumped everything. It was our favorite port on the 4 night (of course the only other was Nassau...) and my kids had a great day there - especially my DS. The idea of spending two days there just sounded like a great idea.

Honestly I would prefer the eastern ports over the western. Even on a western I would be more interested in Key West and Grand Cayman rather than Cozumel and Costa Maya but since our kids are so little it is really more about the ship than the ports anyway. In CM my DH is taking a ruins tour and the kids and I are staying on board and then in Cozumel we might get off for a little while but we don't have anything major planned.

:cheer2: Now you have more spending money, right? :)

Our neighborhood just announced the annual garage sale for Aug 19th and we are planning on having one to make money for the trip. I am going to start selling off some of the big baby equipment so hopefully we will make a little bit. I love the money and getting decluttered but I HATE getting ready for one.

Hmmm, that's not for Auburn Tigers is it?? ;)

CC is AWESOME! But, we are beach people. The water is very very calm and perfect for little ones...it's gorgeous - but most beaches are in the Caribbean!
We did the eastern last year and went to St T and St M, we are doing this one simply for the double stop in CC though.

I read on the main board you were hoping for a FL discount. We are as well, although last year they released a discount for all the weeks in December but ours and since this year's has the double dip I am thinking it may be excluded as I thought it would book well, but it seems to have quite a bit of space left...here's hoping!!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING WLE !!!!!

I just asked DCL dining what to do about the WLE resies...put them on the chart with late dining and switch everyone 2 weeks out. Her response was...

I really don't move guests until 1-2 weeks before sailing due to guests still putting together friends and reservations cancelling reservations.

Email me back when your group is complete and every one is paid in full.

This is really the fair way to do this.

Let me know when you are complete.

This would mean that dining linking would close at this point. So by the 75 day point everyone should be paid in full & we will be able to confirm the change to early for all of those who have sent me their information to be linked with the DIS group. If everyone gets their final payment in by the 90 day mark, I can send her the final list then & get it done earlier. :)

OK Lisa I am partially brain dead (end of the week ya know) but does this mean that she will confirm that those of us WLE will definitely get switched over to early but that she will not "officially" move us over until 1-2 weeks out or will she go ahead and move us officially at the 75 day mark? :confused3

Wow - shopping, shopping, shopping....you guys have been so busy chatting and shopping.

Well - missed ya!!! Glad to be back and caught up.

Happy Friday everyone. I have laundry to do and a house to clean and a family to catch up on...but I'll try to keep up on the posts.

Take care!

She normally doesn't make changes until 1-2 weeks out due to cancellations & things changing BUT if everyone in the group who is on the linked dining list pays their cruise in full...so less likely to cancel...she will take care of it once I send her notice that everyone has paid in full. ;)

That also means that noone else would be able to link dining with the group after this was confirmed.

OK! Thanks for taking care of all of this. I know it can't be easy keeping us all together.

Knowing we will be on early is such a relief! :)

It sure sounds that way. :) I totally understand her not wanting to commit to it until payment is made & things are more definite. She doesn't know how committed we are...or is it that we should be committed? :joker:
