OK guys, with a group our size we will not ALL be sitting next to each other. The server stations hold 18 people each. Those are taken care of by the same serving team. If everyone gets switched on the WLE list there will be over 70 people with our group. Each table should be next to another one with DISers...unless those who sign up later are left in a station at their own table. It is all a matter of numbers fitting everyone at a 4, 6, & 8 in each station. :)

They are no longer 6x8s. They now put those borders on most of the pictures & print them as 8x10s. :(

We have not paid yet. I think I need to pay before 9/10 to book things at 90 days so I will probably pay around 9/5.

Since you guys are talking about pictures - do you buy your pictures as a package at the end of the cruise of just as you go along. On the 4 night we stacked ours together every time we went to look but it was not until the end that I actually bought the ones I wanted. I think we ended up with 6.

A 7 day will hopefully mean more pictures to choose from. Will they be able to keep all of them for 7 days by stacking them so we can decide which ones we like the best towards the end? Will they run out of room. It was pretty full for just a 4 day.

Also, I was wondering if we had any 1st time DCL or just 1st time cruisers in our group. It seems like most everyone here has at least 1 DCL cruise under their belts. :)

Becca, they have changed the way you can do the package. It use to be that you were allowed to only trade 2 or 3 pictures. Now that is unlimited. The manager explained to me that they did this because of all the pictures lost when people stack them. :( You can purchase a 15 picture package then take pictures that you want back to your room & they will keep track of them. Take only the ones that you like & would consider buying. If you find a better shot, return the ones you don't want. At the end of the cruise if you end up with 10 that you want, get a refund for the package & only pay for the package of 10. I know that it was hard for us to decide on the 8x10s of the family. Dealing with the crowds & the kids in shutter's wasn't any easier. This time I will just check them all out & take them back to the room to decide without the hassle then return the ones that we do not want. HTH!

Hope I did not cause confusion with my post about seating. We did not move from table to table. We were seated at the table for 10, but there were no seats assigned within that table. One night we sat across from kidless couple, next maybe across from couple with 13 yo, then across from couple with 6 yo. I would not go out side my assigned seating area (server station) though. We did "table hop" once last year when our tablemates (we were at a table with 2 adults and 2 children) went to Palos and we were dining alone. We joined Jordan and his family that night. Same server station though.

have you all paid off yoru cruises already?
Not yet. I will pay it off the end of August. I want to be sure I can make my ressies on Sept 10.

My dress from JCPenny's arrived this afternoon and I think I like it. The only thing I don't like is how much arm you can see. I hate my upper arms (for good reason) and this dress shows more of them that I normally like. I wonder if I can find a nice wrap?

Will we be seated in stations that are close to each other? Will we all be on the same rotation?

Not at all! ;) I just didn't want anyone being surprised or disappointed when they found out that everyone will not be in one big section or a few large tables. I think that you are the only one in the group who has actually experienced this group seating thing on the ship before. :)

The group for early will be in the same dining room...so the same location. The group for late will be the same way.

IDNK where the stations will be in the dining rooms. The final assignments will be made 2 weeks before we cruise. I am hoping that dining will give me some info before then.

This is our first cruise. :yay:

Lisa , your doing a fine job with this seating thing ...All that matters to me is that we are early dining on the same rotation as all you fine folks ...

You don't need to have your cruise paid off to receive the packet. The packet also reminds you of the date your final payment is due and gives you the date that you can book your ressies online.

If you don't receive your packet soon maybe give your TA a call and ask if s/he has received anything from DCL for you.

No packet here yet! Cruise is paid off and has been for sometime. :confused3 I check for it everyday though!
