am I the only one without a packet?? Bummer!

V, I also have not received the packet. Paid off and booked myself, :confused3 .

Vanessa- We received our packet last week, used a TA and not paid off.
This is the first we have gotten in our 7 cruises so I don't know if it's new or it we just never got it!

The first I heard about this packet on the boards was with the first double dip cruise. :)

It was a letter reminding us of our dates and then some little booklets on available shore excursions, info on documents/paperwork you need to board, gift catalog, info on tux rentals and some general information on the ship (dress code for dinner, kids clubs, etc.).

We got one pretty much exactly like it before our 4 night cruise earlier this year. It just contained the info on the Wonder and shore excursions for Nassau and CC only.

ETA: Shore excursions NOT short excursions... :lmao:

I got the packet for our June 10th cruise before we had to reschedule that so they're not just for the Double Dips.

You know the book that comes with the planning DVD? It's kind of like a condensed version of that. They use a lot of the same pictures from that booklet and basically it's just a rundown of the shore excursions available in the ports of call, what to pack, the gifts you can order for your stateroom and info on formalwear rentals.

Nothing you can't live without but I know we all want anything DCL is willing to send out. ;)

Does anyone have any ideas about where to find character ties for little boys? DS has seen DH looking at Mickey ties and he wants a Simba (Lion King) one for himself. I don't know if we will ever find that but if I had a selection of other Disney character ties for him to pick from that would probably make him very happy. :)

YIKES! The initial dining request has now been sent to DCL dining. I will let you know what I hear back. :)

I haven't been able to find a Mickey tie for DS. :( I did find him a Santa one though so he is happy. :) I got a Mickey tie for DH off ebay.

Would it be possible re-work a man's tie to be the right size for a boy. Trim it to a little longer then needed on the front end, then with liquid stitching, ie fabric glue, turn up the front end, inside itself and seal the two layers? Might need to do this on both ends to get the right proportions. This would work best with ties with all over designs.

You could do that...or you could just get a solid boy's tie & iron on a nice Mickey mouse patch. ;)

This is not against your personally but :lmao: !!!!

<--- If you will look at one of my tags is says that I am the anti-craft because I once said that I am the world's worst person at any kind of crafty type thing. I can't sew on a button. I can't cut a straight line. I can't use any product that has ever been sold in Michaels.

What you said above would be enough to make my poor head explode. It reminds me of when the adults talk in Charlie Brown. Blah..Blah..Blah Blah Blah.

I really don't want you to take this personally Penny because I appreciate the suggestion but if you knew me in real life and said the same thing you would be :lmao: while you said it as well.

Back to sports guys . . .

You Eagles fans may have realized this, but I could not remember until I looked at my tickets today . . . the Raiders are playing the Eagles in the HOF game this year.

As to what was said about Philly fans - I pity the fools from another team who decide they can sit in the Dawg Pound in Cleveland. Talk about abuse! The police have a constant battle there - especially during the Steeler's game. Once when I took my son (he was about 7 at the time) to a game at the old stadium for a game, I practically swore I would NEVER go to a Pro Football game again. Baseball fans are for the most part civil - You see and hear things at a pro football game that would make your hair curl. :scared:

V - did you hear the Tribe traded Wickman to Atlanta today? That is probably just the start as we begin another "rebuilding".

Nope, cruise not paid off yet - will do that in August.

Did you notice, there was no mention of of actual sewing, ;)

I found two sites that have Disney ties for Boys. One was 2002 ties or ties 2002 and the other was the tie warehouse. 2002 had I think 2 ties both were pooh, niether was Christmas, Tie Warehouse had a Lion King but it was like $24.00, which I thought was rather high for a child's tie.

I know this was all rather vague but I was searching rather fast since I don't have any little boys, our's is 19 now!!

I saw those ties too but didn't think that they had anything for youth ties except the batman & pooh. :( I searched quite a few sites & ebay & nada. :( The warehouse place had measurements for the boy's ties but not those Disney ties. I think that the Lion King one was beautiful!
