I hope your trip to WDW is wonderful! What - am I crazy  - how could it be anything less than wonderful? :woohoo:

Lisa - my hubby was laughing at me during Grey's Anatomy. I was all but falling off the chair I was so intensely paying attention! I really like Derek and Mer. together. I am sure next season she will leave with the vet just to make me nutty! I also wanted Izzy and Alex to get together. Now that the heart guy isn't in the picture I think that will happen. Anyway, I don't need to think about it again until the fall!

John have safe travels!

Angie - wow - two more Disney babies, that's wonderful! And Halloween is the best birthday - at least Samantha thinks so.

I could not believe GA - I cried, I've even got DH watching it. I couldn't go to sleep....;)

Well we leave this afternoon for Disney! Talk to everyone soon and have a great weekend!

So what did you guys think of last night's show? I was a little disappointed in its lack of cliff hanger....I would have rathered seen Monday's show be the season finale....last night's was just the same old - what does Mer do? McDreamy or McVet? Anyway - I cried most of the show...very sad. I just love it. But again, as for season finale suspense rating - just a 5. Then again, sometimes I hate those shows that leave you hanging so bad that you amost don't want to watch the show again b/c you can't believe the writers did something like that.

I loved the show. I was also crying! It was sad but the people ended with the people in which I hoped. Now we just wait to see who Mer goes with! My hope is McDreamy.

I think that the cliffhanger is all about Issy. I don't really care about who Mer leaves with in September. I mean...Denny died after the transplant...Issy made me cry...Alex decided to be compassionate after being such a huge jerk & made me cry more dog gone it!!!...Issy quit the program & walked out with the two guys behind her after confessing to the chief. WAHHHH!!!! My jaw dropped when she said that. Of course Meridith's "confession" to the chief did that too. LOL! He sure had his life unravel last night...he found out that both his wife & Mer know about his affair with Mer's mother. YIKES!

BTW - how are all those puppy dogs doing out there?

My "baby" Abby spent the night in Doggy ER for observation and fluids($200+ ouch!!) and this morning is back at our regular vets office for more xrays. (almost $500 between yesterday & today)

She ate an ace bandage (yes the whole thing) on Thursday. (she had one on because stupid mom here accidently double clipped one of her nails and we needed the pressure on it to stop the bleeding when the styptic powder didn't stop it.)

A couple small pieces came out Saturday but then Sunday she started loosing her appetite. (which for Abby is HUGE)

So yesterday I called the vets and they wanted her in for fuids and xrays but they don't have an overnite so i had to take her to the ER facility and then back again this morning.

But good news...She passed a large piece of bandage around 12 last night and then i walked her before going into the other vet and a really large piece came out. I hope that's the last of it. I waiting to hear now because our vet wanted to do a couple more xrays this morning.

I can hear the sucking noise of my tax return coming out of our bank account right now......

On a better note......Ahh one more week till our short DW trip.... (for DD's 13th birthday.)

We have a dog sitter coming in so hopefully all goes well while we're away.

P.S. Abby got weighed while at the vet and is 97.6 lbs (100 after they gave her fluids though)

Goodness gracious, Kristina!!! What an ordeal!!! Glad to hear that she is ok now.

Krista, how horrible, hopefully like all bad things this will pass, sorry had to, and Abby will be wiser and feeling better.

John and family, have a wonderful time at WDW, I am extremely jealous, but that is my issue, lol. I have a co-worker who decided on and booked his first trip last week, they are going for the Star Wars weekend, he is a star wars junkie, and they leave in less then two weeks. Stars in heaven, who does that for a first trip, lol.

GA was good, I really like the Izzy story, I don't know that Baily will let her quit like that. She is Baily suck up and Baily does not give up her suck ups easily. Mer is finallly making a decision and not letting someone else make it for her, hope she can live with it. Cheif has got some issues in his life now, ouch! Alex is coming into his own, most of his junk this year has been about losing Izzy. McDreamy is one messed up dude, man grow up. Can't wait for September, new epsiodes and four months closer to the cruise.

Sorry about your dog. I can't imagine seeing the bandage on his foot and then --- GONE! OMG!!! Poor dog.

And Lisa - thanks for your kind words on that other thread. I didn't want to bring that sadness over here. I'm tired and stressed. You guys give me my uplift.

So thanks everyone - for giving me that relief from reality when I need it. It is the before and during of the cruise that we can get relief from reality. I come on here to chat with others about their lives, hoping my own stresses will be put into place.

:grouphug: We are here for each other. :) At first I didn't think it was you since you hadn't said anything.

I also love the Izzy story on GA.

Karen??? I hope every thing is ok.

Krista - what an ordeal! I hope that everything goes well. What a horrible thing for your poor puppy.

Thanks all for your thoughts..... We get to bring Abby home tonight and they said her insides look much better than yesterday. (she might still have a small piece but the big stuff seems to have "passed.")

She now gets rewarded with Chicken and rice for dinner the next couple days. (Casey will be jealous.) I know she's starving because she lunged at a bowl of cat food in the vets office this morning. (Vet has pet cats in the office.)

Karen, Wow read about your "problem". I'd loan you Abby for a couple days but Casey is more vicious when it comes to chasing cars and barking and stuff. All that for a pool. (ooh just thought of a solution- make a scarecrow on a lawn chair and have it holding a gun type looking object-maybe they'd see it in the shadows and not stop by. wink, wink)

I understand your pain. Our canine "baby" spends his fair share of time with the Vet. I say that Dr Smith has a boat named JoJo.

When we leave town and JoJo stays back he has a "baby"sitter to come in and stay with him. He has only spent one night of his life at the vet and that was when he had his cancer surgery three years ago. As soon as I could I picked him up. We slept on a mattress in the living room for two months so he would not jump on the furniture and lose his stitches. :confused3  Yes I am a dog lover! :thumbsup2

While talking about my canine "baby" JoJo I thought I'd send a picture. Here he is on the bed in his Mickey shirt.

Then you'll just have to take JoJo to some of the cool dog parks they have here in Maryland. There is even a dog beach in Annapolis that is on the Chesepeake Bay. We've taken Casey there two years ago but last summer Abby was too young (not enough shot immunity yet for that much of a group outing.) It is called Muddy Waters Park where the dog park and beach are. They have a website if you want to look into it.

Is JoJo a mini poodle or standard? (Hard to tell from the pic but looks kinda in between sizes)

He's a toy and his brother was a tea cup. JoJo weighs about 12 pounds now.

We love taking him to "doggie" parks. The beach sounds cool. Thanks for the info.

Too funny! Great idea. We had the video camera set up last night...a car pulled up around 1:00 last night...someone was out and about in the backyard but we couldn't tell what they were doing. It wasn't until this morning that I realized our video camera had a night light switch that gets better pictures at night. I'll use it tonight.

We can't find any damage from their visits. But what the heck would they be doing? And - GET OUT OF OUR YARD!!!! I'm so tired of this...I'm shaking from exhaustion and stress and lack of sleep.

For anyone who hadn't read my other post - basically - I have a contractor who wants final payment for a concrete job that wasn't done right - major cracks..."hallowness" in the walls (per other contractors)...sounds like he didn't poor the walls correctly...the job is cracking and causing our basement to flood. He won't fix it...we won't pay. We go to court next month. In the meantime, he drives by our house and lately has been literally coming into the yard late at night. The police say there is nothing they can do b/c we/they can never catch him..... not that DH hasn't made numerous attempts - and that in itself is becoming stressful. So anyway - I'm praying about this...if there is some damage to the house, better the house than someone in the family. But the stress of setting up video cameras and constantly being on alert - just stinks!!! So - keep us in your prayers, AGAIN, please.

THANKS!!! And hugs back to all of you.

Karen, :grouphug: . Hopefully the court will either waive the final payment, refund the cost in total, or order the old contractor to pay for the repair work to be done by a new contractor. But most important I hope that the night visits end and you and your family can return to normal life.
