Yes, I've been a scout leader for about 14 years. (I am an Eagle scout from way back!)

when I hear something kinda like a chip bag rattaling. I thing if the neighbors cat is in the living room (DH left a chip bag by the couch) I am going to have a fit (leaving doors open at night with fans on as it is way to hot here). I get up no cat, o.k. I'll check on the boys and go back to trying to sleep.....So I think... walk in the boys room flip on the light. Spencer is sitting up on his bed with his head in his hands saying "wyatt you stink, gross" I look ove at wyatt he is throwing up all over spencers bed. on the electrick blanket, the goose down feather blanket. Great. Do you all remember why I am so thrilled..... Ya are washer is broke. thrill a min. Well A friend of mine Leona anyway her son is going to the lake with me in the morning to help do some work. anyway we are meeting at her house so I guesse i will call and ask if she can wash them for me. I paid her $5. today to wash DH work pants. I had so much to do today and figured I would spend almost that at the laundry mat anyway. I told her it would at least buy her a latte or how ever you spell that nasty coffee stuff. I'm not tired at all now, and I have to get up in 5 hours to get my day started. The boys have church 9-12 then thier sister will keep them (there probly go to the pool from 1-5) then they have church from 6-8. I guesse they are having some family night ice cream social thing and the boys get points for everyone they bring. well I better go back to bed after I check on wyatt, poor guy was asleep still when I put him in the tub. MumThank goodness your home is still hanging in there. Good luck!klineyqueen said:It is still raining. Since Thursday we have gotten 18.5 inches of rain!!!! We can't leave our house because roads are closed in every direction. My husband does road work for a living and I am sure he will be extremely busy but today...he is home!!! His boss called and said don't come to work the roads are closed. Our home is ok but many people are flooded. I hope it all ends soon. Our rivers are only going to peak on Thursday. AAAHHHH!!!! Send Pixie dust and prayers for this to end.

!!
I hope all turns out in the end and you get out to the lake.

*I planned on doing half the room at a time so I didn't have to empty the whole thing out yet.
**Changed so I don't have to clean brushes, etc as often.![]()
*The ceiling needs to painted also so I was going to just paint it yellow like the top half of the room.
**Yellow is a bit darker than I thought, can't do that so I had to tape it off. Yuck! Now I will have to see if she wants it white, a lighter yellow, light blue, etc...
I had to stop so I could get myself semi-cleaned up to go pick up the girls at camp. Oh the, um, er,woman sweat!!!

I'm working (mostly) but it's lunch break so I check in with relatively little guilt.klineyqueen said:The sick kid at night with no washing machince is a nightmare! Yuck! The boards are quite today. Everyone must be doing chores!

Speaking of more $$ for a project...we had a fellow come out yesterday to look at our pasture and tell us how much he will charge to mow it. Lots of grass, really tall and we are heading into fire season so it needs to be mowed. Well this really nice very down to earth fellow who owns a tractor told us he would charge $45 per hour and that he was not sure just how long it will take because it is very hilly, has a gully he has to cross etc. This is true and fine with us. DH asked if he thought it would take more than 10 hours. The fellow said definately not, likely not even near that long. He just can't give us an accurate estimate. So we visited with him abit, he is very nice, so DH (otherwise known as DrHug) said "You know I'd be willing to pay you $50 per hour?.MommyMinnie said:More work and more money. The fellow said, oh no $45 will be fine. After he left I looked at my dear sweet DrHug and said "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???" He said "well, it's a lot of work and I appreciate him helping us." I assured DrHug the the fellow knows his business, the value of his equipment and the cost of fuel to complete the job. "I know, but...." So, I assured DrHug that if the fellow does a good job and he wants to throw in a few bucks for a tip that would be fine.
Sheesh! There is such a thing as being too nice!
