To add my my issues I appear to have picked up the cold that DD has had for the last few days. Sneezing, runny eyes, more coughing . I already have had more rib pain this morning that I did yesterday just for the dumb coughing. I am really hoping I can get this under control very quickly. Somehow a really bad cold is probably not the best thing for me right now.

Becka - hope Allie is feeling better soon.....I know what you mean about listening for them. I feel as though I can't go to sleep until they are asleep, my gosh, their room would be repainted or I would have new artwork in my bathroom with my two.

Good morning!

I spoke with the pediatrician's office this morning and they told me that her knee x-ray came back normal. I was worrying for nothing -- but I am glad to have my fears put to rest, and very thankful to have a doctor that doesn't dismiss parental intuition.

They think it's just growing pains -- perhaps she strained a muscle... and now that I think about it, she does dance around quite a bit -- I suppose she could hurt herself without knowing that she was overdoing it....

So that's my good news! Have a fabulous weekend!!!

Hello all!

Yes, she got out of the OR about 1:30 (in at 9:00!) and spent the next 2 1/2 hours in recovery. They finally moved her up to a room at 4:30 and she got stuck in a semi-private room, meaning 2 people...<if that's semi-private, what's NOT private, a bed in the lobby??!?! >

Anyway, when I left yesterday at 5:00 pm she was resting, not comfortably, but resting....I think she's supposed to be back to the boards..I mean home , by Sunday.

She called this morning and asked me to go to BestBuy...first I thought she was gonna ask me for a laptop and internet access ..but she only wanted headphones for her MP3 player.

Good to hear everything has gone well ....

I go lay down with Sophia with 7 min left in the game and the team lets me down!! Coach K needed me and I had to take care of my child... Oh well. Congratulations Marielle and Brack!!

I missed the guys game but watched the girls last night. I had hoped both could win but the girls still looked very good.

I am sitting in MIL's living room having just finished my work emails but it is nice.

Annette called yesterday to book the EB cruise and found out that it is SOLD OUT!!! She did put on us on the waiting list for a Cat 3 because that was the lowest level for a waiting list. They will call us when an opening at any level happens. We put a deposit down so we are on the prime list. It looks good but I am very unhappy to only be on a waiting list.

Brack!!!! You stayed at the worst hotel in the state!!! I wish that we had known that you were here yesterday.

It was really bad but we only had to sleep there for about 6 hours and JoJo could stay too.

If I had brought your number I would have called and met up but I didn't think of it until we were well on the way. It was a last minute, very quick trip. Maybe next time.

We ate lunch at Flounders there and it was very good. Annette had flounder and fried oysters. I had my favorite ..... Carolina pulled pork, cole slaw and hush puppies.

Brack! I thought that you had already called in. The cruise sold out the first day. I would suggest that you contact DU and ask them if you can be put on their waiting list as well. They can look for other categories for you.

Today has been a really good day. I guess that I have been able to evaluate my life to this point and can honestly say that I am happy with where I am and the decisions that I have made....ALL of them. My family is great...that is the four of us here in our home. The kids are healthy. I am getting stronger. Life is good. I have also been able to confirm that the decision I made to cut my birthparents out of our life was the right one. Yesterday there was a card from them in the mail. I once again ripped in in half & opened the door to the pantry to throw it away. The way it ripped showed a bit of writing so I took the card out & pieced it together. It was the biggest piece of poop that I have read in my life! It confirms that they are completely delusional and in denial that they ever did anything wrong. Instead of making me upset, I was relieved to see more proof that I was right. Years ago I found out that they googled to find my posts here and ended up downloading pictures of us from our first cruise because my sister told me that she saw them in frames in their house. At first I was angry that they were intruding into my life...especially since I didn't want them to be a part of it. Now, I find it pathetic that they feel the need to do that when I could care less about them. That part of my life is over...and I and my family is better for it. I am really looking forward to my 40s!!!

I have requested a quote from DU as well. We will pursue this very hard.

I quess we thought that we would have a few days to make the reservation. We have been on the road (see my posts about the road trips) and thought we had time. It is still a long time away and we have faith!

Welcome Back Brack!

Well we did confirm that DD had an ear infection so it is 10 days of antibiotics for her. The good news is that she absolutely loves medicine so getting her to take 30 doses will be easy. Gotta look for the silver lining.... The poor little thing is asleep right now. She looks like she feels pretty miserable.

DH went to pick up DS and I hope he had a good day. I think he is ready for the weekend. It has been a long week for all of us.

You weren't around on the 31st. Did you call DCL or a TA. I think I would call a TA if you haven't and get on their list. I have heard a few new people post to the thread that they have recently booked.

May I just suggest you don't fo any major renovations on the house for a while...
