Rent the points (or transfer) that it requires and then you'll have enough money to pay for cruise and then some....

We just sold (transferrred) 108 of our 2007 points to make our deposit for the EB PC...

hey you were supposed to let me know about that!!!
I would be interested if anyone is renting points - for a planned Sept. trip.

thanks.

Well first didn't they take that doo rag off of Aunt J's head a while ago? Knowing Prince he did that on purpose. That's what some people think Black History Month is about don't they - Uncle Ben and Aunt J. ;) I did like that coke commerical with the different shaped bottles and the words of accomplishments. Now that was cool.

That coke commercial was cool.

It gave me goosebumps.

Carl's email to me this morning - he dropped Bella off this morning:

It was so cold they let everyone in the Oak street door. She wouldn't hold my hand or even let me walk with her, I had to walk behind her because she saw some of her friends. So I walk behind her and pretend I don't know her. If I do a good job and don't embarrass her I get a wave goodbye. The trains were delayed an hour this morning due to "mechanical difficulties". We froze waiting for the train, when it finally came I couldn't even get my T pass out of my bag my hands were so numb from the cold. Everybody was late because the T had problems everywhere, supposedly with switches. But the T made up for it by flashing on their signs in between delay updates "Sorry for the inconvenience"

Tell Carl that is REALLY funny - already a teenager.

It was so cold here today, that when I let the dog out to go, her pee froze before it hit the snow.

Yes but the pneumonia is going away. It has been almost 2 weeks since I was diagnosed and last Thursday my lungs sounded pretty good. Right now it is really just the pain from the broken rib thing that is literally driving me crazy. I just hate not being able to move around like I need to. It is frustrating and unfortunately I have not had the best support from DH. I understand it is difficult for him but it is hard to have sympathy for someone when they are as crabby about it as he is. I have had to take care of the kids by myself as well before when he has been sick and you certainly didn't see me behaving like he has been. I tried my hardest to baby him and keep the kids alive at the same time. I guess I would just like the same consideration (although he really doesn't need to baby me) - just taking care of the kids without acting put out about it would be enough.

I have to say I am very lucky with my DH. He is great with the kids, well he only has to take care of one right now, but he had to do plenty witht he older believe me!!! I told him the other day, I don't know what I would do without him or with someother guy, he is so patient and is willing to pitch in whenever needed! He remembers, I guess that they are his kids too, and that he needs to help when needed!!

Elaine - Glad you are OK too!

Becka - hope you feel better soon, and all I can say is that most guys (yeah, many that I know) just are not good caregivers for kids, and get frustrated really easily when thrust into that role. Aaron is not unusual - not saying that is right - just the way most guys are, so give him a chance, and hopefully he will come around. That has not been the way with Amy and I (yeah, I read your post hun - thanks), but I think we are in general the exception and not the rule.

Happy Birthday Dennis!

Joy - Hoping everything goes well for you and Sarah

Carla - my new Airport Extreme 80211-n is on the way!

Does that cover everything?

Oh yeah . . . we miss you guys - thank goodness for the DIS!

John, staying at AKL pre-repo?;)

Pj

Oh yeah, almost forgot . . .

School is cancelled tomorrow too! Sophia is doing the happy dance!

(Do you know when a snowstorm is coming here, the tradition is to wear your pajamas inside out, and put ice cubes in the toilet to hope for a snow day? No kidding)

Anyway -4 tonight, and more deadly windchill until tomorrow afternoon.

Hmmmmmm . . . VERY interesting idea PJ! Unless we buy though, 7 month booking window.

Hey Kim, why don't you guys buy DVC (you know you want to), and join us on Friday night May 9th!

Thanks John1! Unfortunately I agree that this is pretty typical male behavior at least when I talk to my other "married with kids" friends it seems that way. It just annoys me. Maybe it is somewhat of a generational thing. We mothers now expect the dads to help out a lot more when it comes to raising kids. However, maybe because they feel they already have a lot of responsibility that it is not fair to ask them to take on more. Almost a "I am already doing my fair share" kind of thing. I know when I was growing up really the only time my Dad was a really hands-on parent was when my Mom was really sick.

Times have changed and men's attitudes, in my opinion, have to change too. Now-a-days both parents are working and come home tired. No longer are there the days of "Leave It to Beaver"!

I do think part of it is generational - and (hope I don't offend anyone) part of it is ethnic. I can tell you for a fact that I do not know ONE of my Italian friend guys (Carla - tell me if Carl is the exception) that are good child caregivers - not that they aren't good dads. EVERY Italian guy I know is so used to being taken care of by his Italian mom, that he expects his wife to do the same for him no matter what!

I think in some degree the differences in the sexes is wired into all of us - whether or not people want to accept that. I know that is not necessarily PC in these times, but I do believe human behavior can be from instinct too - just like our cousins in the wild.

Your Italian story actually reminds me of when we lived in Italy. Our next door neighbors had a son who was getting married and the finacee moved in with them so his Mom could teach her how to take care of her son. We used to hear them all the time and I always thought that she must really love the guy to put up with all of that! :rotfl:

Hey, I keep forgetting to post . . .

Did anyone else get the DCL triangle car Magnet with Goofy on it like we did?

Very cool, but afraid to put it on the car for fear it will fall off with all the snow, ice, and salt.

So it's on the fridge for now.

I don't recall seeing anything like that. Can you post a pic?

I always keep the magnet bumper sticker things I get from Disneyland on the fridge. I'm always scared I'll lose them.

We got it too, but also were afraid to put it on the car. Don't want to lose it.
