Tonight my nephew was dedicated at my SIL's chruch. They have a special service just for that occassion. It is a little odd since they come to my church (my brother has gone there his whole life..obviously). Anyway....we were at the party and my DH told me before we even left the house....we MUST be home by 8:00.

I think I am going to go and hang out on my couch and watch some EAGLES football.

Brandi, she should be punished for what she did to those kids. Here was someone they trusted & depended on and that person...an adult...betrayed them. If she wasn't punished what would that teach the children?

Well, here it is 10 pm and the boys are on the air mattress watching Star Wars 6 laughing their heads off. DD is on the couch fighting to stay awake. DH has been upstairs sleeping for the past hour. I don't think that he is going to be up for a sleepover for a while...but not because of the kids. It's been a long night.

When my DH stresses over a game (IE the EAGLES are losing) he starts to clean or something of that nature. He is currently baking muffins while watching the game and stressing out....it is so funny!!!!

Ok, now that I know what he looks like, it is even funnier to read this, lol.

OK, DH got the kids interested in going to play minigolf. There is a new place nearby that was pretty nice. Note to self...do not take 3 kids to play minigolf unmedicated...me not them. I tossed the scorecard after the third hole. They wouldn't let the ball stop rolling before trying to knock it again. They wouldn't hold the club any way that would allow them to possibly hit the ball anywhere near the hole. DD kept holding the club head backwards....the putter handle was out with the head facing her. I just pulled out the flag and sat down on the bench and waited. We got stuck behind a few groups so the kids replayed the holes. There was noone behind us so they each went to a different hole. YIKES!

Next stop was Pizza Hut. DH gave DS the choice of picking it up or eating there. We have never eaten at PH. DS chose to do that. The first PH we went to was operating in slow motion. We stood at the door for at least 10 minutes without being seated. I have worked at PH and know what should have been happening versus what we were seeing. UGH! It was so bad that DH said we would go to the other one next to us. He didn't know they added a dining room. We went there & seated ourselves but it was almost 10 minutes before a waitress came over...looking like she was about to pop out a baby any minute. She was nice and took our order...including breadsticks because the kids were hungry with the delay. It was already past 6 pm and we eat around 5. 20 minutes later no breadsticks...no pizza. I heard the manager tell someone on the phone that they were out of pan dough. OK, so they weren't making our pizzas because they had run out...McD's here we come! The waitress came over to apologize because she got stuck answering the phones. I asked her about the pizza and she told me she had checked with the manager who told her there were 2 large pans for us when she put the order in. 10 minutes later she brings out the plates and a pizza. It didn't look large but at this point we didn't really care. The kids each grabbed a piece...with the steam rising. The waitress came back & said that they made a mistake & didn't know there were 2 large pizzas for us & made 2 mediums so they would give us 50% off. Fine...just bring the other pizza out. Out she comes 5 minutes later with two pizzas and the manager who tells us sorry for the problems the meal is on the house. That didn't even make DH happier. I gave the poor waitress a tip and thanked her when we left. She was new and was surprised. It wasn't her fault the cooks screwed everything in the kitchen up.

Brack, if you post a link to a thread with them I could check out the properties.

Properties show them to be jpg files stored on Photobucket just like other photos. They must be made by some program, saved as jpg files and linked on Photobucket.

I'll probably pm someone with them in signature and ask them.

Historically, i have had some doozy problems there too...

Once a group of friends and i went on a busy fri night. We placed orders and sat chatting. About 45 later we asked where our food was. Here they never put the order in. So we asked if they could at least get us so bread sticks as we waited. They did comp us those....

DD wants to do TBall - I have until this Saturday to decide. 15 games - twice a week for the school year. She turns 7 in March and this would be her first experience in a team sport. I'm thinking its quite a commitment and I'm trying to explain to her that she HAS to go because the team expects it. She can't say "I don't feel like going today" Her reply "Well, I've very good at T-Ball - well is it on the tee or will they pitch it? I'm great at hitting" Oy. Any thoughts/advice?

Practices start the middle of April. Games start April 22. Teams play 2 games each week, one week night game and one Saturday game.


Weekday game nights and Saturday game times are varied. Teams will play 15 games and will be done by the end of the school year.

LEAGUES
Players are assigned to a level of play according to their age.
5 year-olds play T-Ball I. Players hit off a tee the entire year. Players bat every inning and play every inning in the field.
6 Year-olds play T-Ball II. Players hit off a tee for the first half of the year. During the second half of the year the coach's pitch to the players. Players are given three swings and then the ball is placed on the tee, for the player to hit. No one is allowed to strike out. Players bat every inning and play every inning in the field.
7 Year-olds play Instructional Baseball. Coaches pitch, 3 outs per inning, 10 players in the field.

Go for it Carla! Team sports are great and it is a good way to know if she will like them when they get competative. Would she be with the 6yr olds or the 7 yr olds?

Great News ... at least for me! I am not pregnant!!!

The last week or so has been the scariest false alarm I have ever had. I just feel such a big weight lifted off my shoulders. I hope tonight I can really relax and maybe even get some good sleep. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

The thing is I know that pizza isn't rocket science. I use to run the register, handle the mid afternoon rush on tables solo, and cut pizzas.

Lisa, I think every place has its "moments." We got a free meal at Olive Garden once when we were the only table not getting served. I think Amanda was around 3 then and was not taking it very well.
