I'm not really thinking about it at the moment. I'm staying at one of the hotels by the conference center. I suppose I should know the name shouldn't I.

I haven't been there in years and years. I remember it was the most fantastic food place I ever went though. We went to K Pauls. I loved Cafe du Monde's beignets - that's what made me stay at WDW's Port Orleans - yum. I have not had those - oh man what are they called - fried little dunkin munchin donut things - they aren't donuts though - anyway I have never had a good one since New Orleans. Just remembered HUSH PUPPIES! Those things were yummy.
The thing about some of these conferences is people go out and drink and drink and drink and drink. No conversation or fun. No dancing or site seeing (other than the "clubs" on Bourbon Street). That's not my scene. First of all its boring and at the end of the day I am exhausted between trying to make sure they are getting home ok and not driving. Oy! Fortunately my boss and company isn't about that so I get to duck out on some events going in that direction.
Oh funny story - years ago when I went down Bourbon St for the first time I walked the whole thing with my mouth hanging wide open. Boy was I naive.

Some guy came out of this club as we were all walking by and asked my friend (blond gorgeous) if she wanted to come have a drink. She said thanks no thanks. She would have been enslaved and shipped off to parts unknown. We still laugh about it.
