Our Repo thread is mostly California people talking about the drink of the day, and BBC (another drink, not the British network). Mostly seem like nice folks.

Uuuuughhhhhh.... Who knew that course selection for high school was soooo annoying these days???? We're working through a thick packet of info with Elizabeth... it's like you have to figure out all 4 years at once so that you don't miss any prerequisites along the way.

I have spent hours trying to find the ****** who has been saying not nice things about Lisa, but can't post here anymore. I want to give him a piece of my mind, but Lisa is too nice to tell me where he is.

OK maybe it it just the pain and the meds but I clicked on the August repo thread and saw all this talk about Give Nothing Back and pirates, etc.. It makes me sad because all of that stuff used to be unique to this group and now it does not seen so special now that "outsiders" (for lack of a better term) have taken it up for themselves. How pathetic am I?

Becka....sorry! Todd has taken on the role of leader of the troops there as Captain Jack and with Mike, Caroline, Brack, and myself it just came out while telling them what would be expected. They didn't go seeking it out to copy it. I am glad that we adopted that rather than the spanx conversion....poor John! Captain Spanx!

Becka, this group is very special!!! Even though there are people who I am enjoying getting to know on the August repo thread, if the stars could be aligned just right and we could cruise with everyone here again...we would switch in a matter of seconds.

I have heard that from some of my co-workers with kids that age. It seems ridiculous how much thought you have to put into what classes they will take years in advance at that age. When I started high school there were two options - college track or vocational track. It just was not that difficult and it seemed to work fairly well for most kids.

Probably much talk....you know I mention the drink of the day often, but have only one drink of the day! The single ladies may down a few at the clubs in the evenings, but I don't think it will be a group.

I so remember that, and help DN last year with her's. 13 year olds should not have to pick the next 4-8 years of their life at that age!

At that age I changed my mind about what I wanted to be about 3 times a week. Heck even in college I ended up changing my major twice before I stuck with something. How they can expect such young kids to make those decisions I will never know...

By the way, did anyone see that there was someone doing the dancing banana song in costume for American Idol the other day? I saw it on a promo clip, but didn't see the show that night.

I was going to say that to Lisa's post too, but I thought that I was being to pushy.

You guys know that if I could go in May I would...and for alot less than what we are paying in August. In the long run no matter what tests are being given...having 15 days to use before it involves making the kids not get moved up to the next grade.....need 13 in May and 5 in August. It just gives us a lot more leway to allow for illness during the year...which is bound to happen. I wouldn't want to cancel the cruise because an illness made one of them miss a lot of school & they didn't have any days left. As far as the group...it would be jumping out of one fire & into another.

Thanks for not being mad - but it was bound to happen and I apologize for participating - but Todd and I took it up on the Med August repo (see - it's Todd's fault ) - but it is kind of lonely over there - and out of context, it isn't the same. ((And I hate to be an outsider even if I did jump ship before it sailed, but still feel part because I was on this thread for over a year, have a lovely lime green t-shirt, and still think that potpie does not have a crust.)

EVeryone just wants to be this thread - consider it a compliment.

Look at it this way, hearing about our cruise & how much fun we had has them excited about doing that kind of stuff on this cruise. Someone is even going to arrange a Pajama breakfast in Lumiere's one morning reserving tables for the DISers.

I am sure the PC would be cool but maybe you should just stick with your Dec '07 cruise and then book a Dec '08 cruise (12/6....12/6....12/6... ). Both cruises together would be much cheaper and I bet we will be nicer to you too!
