:) Love ya Becka!

The phone lines are jammed, I think... I got a busy signal... but online the ressie is $5300 for a cat 5 and we were quoted $4700 onboard for a Jan08 dummy date... not too much more. Trying to decide if we'll go down to the cat 6 but I can't hope that we'd be upgraded a 3rd time so I really should book the room that I want.

I really can't believe the Mexico cruises are so expensive... I think that's why we didn't even consider them last time. I mean, for the $3000 difference, I could actually take the whole family on a Royal Caribbean for 7 nights on the same itinerary (and still go on the Dec sailing!).

Sooo, DH finds out yesterday that he does have President's Day off....

And a day after my self-imposed spending moratorium....

We're considering heading down to DL for the long weekend. And of course, if we do that, we'd HAVE to buy annual passes because this would not be the only time I intend to head down this year (since we're not going to WDW this year).

We are Disney nuts.... I know you'd all understand.

I am not even going to attempt to call. If we decide to book I will do it online tonight when I get home. I can't imagine that the prices will go up on those cruises that fast since everyone is so focused on the PC/Mex Rv. cruises.

:rotfl: Of course we understand. ;)

I am actually watching airfare/resort discounts for late May/early June in case DH and I decide to run away to WDW for a few days for our 10th anniversary - without the kids!

Well I talked to DH and he says we should book the 12/6/08 Eastern so I guess I will get online when I get home this afternoon and put down the deposit. I hope the prices don't go up a whole lot by then.

Well I hope the next cruise goes better for you Becka... I'm sorry you had a less than stellar time last month.

Me too! :thumbsup2

Actually DH and I have talked and we figure it can't get much worse. :rotfl: I think having DD older will work much better for us. The fact that she could then go to the club with DS (No Flounders! :yay: ), play in the Mickey pool, etc.. will eliminate a lot of issues. Nathan really didn't give us too many issues on this cruise and he had a great time so hopefully when Allie is older she will be the same way. If we get closer to the date and we realize that DD is just not going to do well then we will cancel at that time. :) But at least this way we are booked and locked in at a lower price and can make the final decision in about 1 1/2 years. :)

I am really shocked at the prices. I figured we would not necessarily cruise again in 2008 because with Allie turning 3 I figured we would be looking at $4500 minimum for the 7 night. I am pleasantly suprised with the price. :)

I booked the 5 night Bahama Double Dip today. :cool1: I was shocked at how cheap it was... $3300 for the 4 of us in a category 6. That includes ground transfers but not insurance (will get that on my own). Got a real nice room location but unfortunately there was only late dining available. I hated late dining, it was TOO late, so hopefully I can get on a wait list and be moved.

:yay:

That looks like a really fun cruise. I would love to have booked it because it would fall over my birthday but that will be only the 2nd week of school for DS in 1st grade and that just sounds like a bad time to be gone for a week. Plus it is a difficult time for DH to get off of work. I am sure you guys will have a great time! :)

Yeah, the dates bug me a little because it will be the 2nd week of school for DS and DD and it will be DS's first year in middle school and DD's first year in HS but I figure it's only 4 days absent since they'll have that monday off for labor day and missing school at the beginning of the year will probably mean they won't miss anything very important.

The itinerary is perfect though. I was going to look into doing one of the 4 night double dips but I wasn't impressed with the prices and I'd miss that sea day. I'm just bummed I have to wait a year and a half now.

I think with Allie being able to go to the clubs and the fact that she'll be past the "terrible two's" you'll definately enjoy this one more! :thumbsup2

I'm so glad to see you weren't completely scared off from cruising. :goodvibes

We loved our first DCL cruise which was a 4 night so we know it is not cruising that we don't like. I am a little nervous about booking another 7 day because it was just too long this last time but I keep telling myself that with Allie being almost 4 in 12/08 it has to be easier. We really didn't have many issues with Nathan (who was 4 1/2 on this past cruise) and he had a fantastic time. Most of our "kid" issues were with Allie. If she is still acting like a 2 year old when it comes time for final payment we will cancel! ;)

I am of course very nervous about getting seasick again but we are booking a Deck 2/midship this time in hopes that it will be better and I may look into getting some prescription motion sickness meds. I also will get a prescription of antibiotics from my doctor to take with us. I think we learned a lot last month and hopefully with older kids and our new found wisdom the next cruise will have to be better.
