Ok, freaky!!
We did not rebook onboard.....BUT the second to the last day I put in a quote request for 10/27, 12/8 and 12/15, just to see the difference in prices. But did not book anything. The paper was returned to our stocking.

Today...I am looking at our bank account and see Disney Worldwide $500, Disney Worldwide $250 debits coming out. I am freaking out....!! So I think, wow that would be the price of the deposit. So I call DCL and lo and behold they booked us on 10/27/07, with no approval or anything and just charged it to our shipboard account.

I asked if I could change dates and keep my credit and discount and she said yes....so we moved to 12/8.....of course I told DH about them booking and he asked if I cancelled....I said....yes.....

OMG - I just checked the DCL website and it shows I have paid $1000!! They took a deposit for Haley as well! Luckily I called and a DCL supervisor is going to credit that back to me. Since our shipboard account was linked to our debit card, it's cash coming out now. If I had told her to rebook I would have used a regular credit card! I am glad I looked at that today!

oh, he won't know what I am packing for...I am usually packing for some trip here or there.

He's said, and he knows, we will be going. I just would have rather charged the deposit than paid cash for it right before xmas!

well I am going to do some frantic xmas shopping on my lunch. I have nothing for anyone!!

I am going to get 3 1hr massages for John...we get a discount through work so they are only $40 for an hour...the girls...well, I will have to see what Walmart and Target have left. My mom said the Ariel kitchen is very very flimsy plastic. My sister wants housewares and magnets....not sure about the inlaws and my mom....what do you buy for people who have no space for knick knacks and who can buy themselves whatever they want?

Okay gang, check your rebooking ressies... mine are really screwed up. I'm on hold with DCL right now as they research it.

I booked a cat 5 gty on board.
I received a mailed confirm for a cat 4 gty.
She cannot find my deposit that was charged for my onboard ressie -- it automatically cancelled after 4 days since no deposit was paid.
However, they said that ressie was made on the 12th which was the day I got the quote, not the day we said go ahead and book...

What a mess.... she's getting a supervisor right now.

My only concern is to not have my CC charged $2000. I know I can change the categories and retain the discount... but I don't want 2 ressies...

LAME LAME LAME...

First the agent transferred me to the supv without explaining the deal... I was like "did she tell you what's going on?" and he's like "uh, no..." so I explain it all over again and he's acting like I'm a freak or something for being concerned... ugh...

Anyway, bottom line is that she forgot or did not charge our deposit to the CC so we would have lost the ressie if I hadn't called in to question the category change.

You don't get the discount on the port charges, taxes, etc. That might be the difference. Becka...math needed here!

I was taking the 10% off what is listed as the "room rate" before government taxes and fees. Maybe there are some taxes that are included in the room rate part?

Playing around on costco.com for some more Christmas cards... I ordered 40 onboard with our pirate picture but not sure if I want to get some more... I still have to go through the card list (and I have added several new geek friends to the mailing list this year!)

That is weird! I know that when I booked our cruise, I gave her a list of names to link the resies to...including yours because she said that she had your quote request right there.
