We leave our house about 6am Friday...We leave MD (flight) at 9:30.

Aaron is able to get off a 1/2 day tomorrow which means we can leave a few hours earlier than we originally thought. We should be on the road by this time tomorrow! I only hope that we can get enough rest in the car to allow us to keep going all night.

thanks for giving me the heads up about the free tshirt. I am bringing tshirts for another family. I originally thought the most I would get my family to do was t shirts but you really inspired them. when DS saw your siggie picture, he wanted to dress up more than a tshirt.

Were you able to get to WM and get a free shirt ????? Thats good they want to dress up , thats the fun of it --- I mean in no way am I a great Captain Jack Sparrow but I do like to have fun with it ...plus its cool to pick up chicks .. Just Kidding

they had tshirts left when I got to WM about 8:00. they are pretty cool looking too.

do the sleep well in the car?

The kids sleep pretty good. DH and I do OK but neither of us will sleep great, KWIM? Last time I went home to rest for a few hours (I was too excited to really sleep) before we left town around 6:00-6:30 in the evening. DH rested/slept until about 2 AM while I drove then he took over for me from about 2-6 in the morning while I slept. We then switched off throughout the rest of the day. This time we won't have any rest time at home but I am hoping at least one of us can at least rest quite a bit in the afternoon/early evening to be able to take over for the other one overnight.

I figure it worse comes to worse and we need to stop at midnight to find a hotel at least on Friday morning we will only have maybe 8-9 more hours to go.

my kids have always been good sleepers in the car. the 1st time we travelled at night, we got stuck in an accident site. the trip should have taken us 10 hrs but ended up taking 17 hrs. I had to pee so bad and my Dsis & I went to all the cars around us looking for a flashlight. finally we found an old man that had one. it was used by about 30 people.
