Yes, I did. I got a sandbucket. I did not want a lot of snacks as there is so much food on the ship. But I did ask her to put in a juice box to take on the ruins tour with us. She is doing a pirate theme I think. I just told Shirley to add whatever seemed fun to her. I mainly did not want to haul the sandbucket across the country and also thought a surprise for him in the room would be fun. We will get our CC gifts so this way maybe he will not try to snag my stuff!DSharpe said:Angie - did you get aaron (not you mice pins!! - hope you have heat/power!) a basket? what did you have put in it? i'm trying to decide. diana
how do you book for rainforest? it sounds like it would be very nice & relaxing but I have never done it before.tynkerbell said:I've never had a massage but my back is always tensed up. We'll have the Rainforest passes though so I'm thinking relaxing on those loungers might be good enough for me.![]()
OH, could be. This is a handy, dandy tool! I have spent hours searching for my starting point if I forget to write it down.DSharpe said:It's a little blue arrow by the last post by ... at ... - PJ or Lisa or someone pointed it out a few months ago - that's how I knew...maybe you were at DL?? diana

What category did you book?ebeck said:Thanks for the tip, I can't beleive how confusing I'm finding this. I've seen a lot of talk about upgrading, how does that work? Is it likely to happen?

We got some ice and freezing rain last night so of course all the schools are closed but the kids' daycare is open plus both of our workplaces are business as usual. We are going in together so we only have one car out and we were waiting until the sun came out. The major roads are said to be in pretty good shape but side roads are very slick. It will be an interesting commute.
The worst of the storm will develop late today. They are calling for up to a 1/2 inch of ice then followed by another 8-12 inches of snow.
Hopefully we will make it to work/school and back home again without too much trouble.
You don't have to book ahead. Just go up to the spa anytime they are open and tell them you want to use the Rainforest. They will give you a basket with a robe in it and a key to a locker. You go to the locker room and leave your stuff in the basket, locked in the locker, slip the robe over your swimsuit and then go enjoy the Rainforest for as long as you like. We usually spend a total of about an hour in there. 15 to 20 min on the lounger, then some time in each of the heat rooms, then go thru all 3 showers. They have water with lemon/oranges in it just outside the room or hot tea. Feel free to help yourself to these and take them in with you. It costs $15 per day, or $8 on a day that you have any spa treatment. Or you can purchase a package that allows you to use it everyday. Heavenly!!MMcCarthy said:how do you book for rainforest? it sounds like it would be very nice & relaxing but I have never done it before.

So now your DS is going to be tired in her class today because of her stupidity??? How is she able to handle being in school ready to teach your child when she is up calling parents at midnight??!?!?!?Sounds like she needs a DDD whooping!!! What time are we marching to the school?

GoofyforGoofy said:OK, DISers...I need help. (no comments, John)
We have about a week until we leave and WE (DW and I) have nothing done....NOTHING.
Bags are not packed....or even started.....We have no real list of what we need to do....Work is backing up (mine and hers).....Bandanas are not ironed....house is still in disorder....and, she is stressing more over the stupid pirate costume than over us having a well prepared week...If I have to take over the packing and organizing, we will be in VERY serious trouble.
I am asking everyone to do us a favor...INTERVENTION! Gentle reminders to BOTH of us to get to work, get packed, etc etc...
She is lurking right now as I type this, even after I asked her to get back to work. She runs out the door in the morning to get to work and then shows up on DIS right away...she stays later (to finish stuff up) but then has to run home and DIS...Then she tells me we don't have enough time.

I'm just as guilty...I need to get to work too...But knowing that she is lurking, just to stay caught up, makes me hang around here too...not good!
We are not going to be ready to go and we'll both be stressed and screaming at each other for this last week and the following week....Please help....I KNOW you all understand.

I was doing my work. I came home at 4:00 but there was nothing I could do....SHE needs to make the list and start the organization running...without her lead, I'd dead in the water, no pun...87Heel said:ANDY! Work! Pack! Organize! Clean! Plan! NOW!
DrHug said:I am a collector too, but I use them. I miss the smell of Dektol and Fix, and the hours in the darkroom. Ah, but digital is easier. Not any more fun than film though. Just quicker. I once spent 30 hours on my B&W print "Einstein House". It is like a fine painting when you work on a print like that. Jim Hansen, a well known product and ad photographer, was my teacher, and he said my Photo was the finest architectural night shot he had ever seen. What a compliment that was. I had a big head for weeks. LOL! He taught me how to use a large format camera. Ansel had an 8 x 10 view camera. I want one. LOL. Ansel Adams was the best in his genre. Using that heavy equipment takes time and patience. But it is very satisfying. Iphotography. I just can hardly wait until I have the time for it. My building shot was a 1 hour exposure at f32, after dark. I was going to bracket the shots, but that one did the trick.
(after precise calculations of course). Well, okay, so I was lucky. I was not looking forward to that 2 hour shot.
I'll give these a try, thanks!brack said:
