I want to take this post to apologize for being a whiny, ungrateful DISer the other day about our decision to downgrade. I know I sounded childish........worrying about bathroom space and all.....when I should be thankful we can even go on one more glorious Disney cruise as a family!



So, forgive me, dear DISers. I have slapped myself in the face a few times and am now ready to get on with a great vacation.....no matter where we are on the ship!!!

I just talked to Nona at "A Perfect Gift." I decided to send my DH a birthday basket. It will have a 6 pack of Corona (his beer of choice) a lime and bottle opener. It will also have a bottle of Asti. There will be a few snacks and his favorite candy -Kit Kat and Peanut Butter Cups. He will be so surprised!!!!

OK, DISers...I need help. (no comments, John)

We have about a week until we leave and WE (DW and I) have nothing done....NOTHING.

Bags are not packed....or even started.....We have no real list of what we need to do....Work is backing up (mine and hers).....Bandanas are not ironed....house is still in disorder....and, she is stressing more over the stupid pirate costume than over us having a well prepared week...If I have to take over the packing and organizing, we will be in VERY serious trouble.

I am asking everyone to do us a favor...INTERVENTION! Gentle reminders to BOTH of us to get to work, get packed, etc etc...

She is lurking right now as I type this, even after I asked her to get back to work. She runs out the door in the morning to get to work and then shows up on DIS right away...she stays later (to finish stuff up) but then has to run home and DIS... Then she tells me we don't have enough time.

I'm just as guilty...I need to get to work too...But knowing that she is lurking, just to stay caught up, makes me hang around here too...not good!

We are not going to be ready to go and we'll both be stressed and screaming at each other for this last week and the following week....Please help....I KNOW you all understand.

Just start packing. Do a little at a time. A little later on. Forget the costume buttons now.....I can help sew them on at the Monday afternoon pool soiree!

OUrs wasn't the only one either. "Got Disney" must have posted to atleast 10 other meet pages that i could see...probably more but i stopped looking...oh well Iguess it will help our count...

also Spurrier to Miami was floating around. I would prefer he come back to UF....

.....They decorate the park...Christmas Candylane.

They also have a drive thru displayof Christmas lights...pay for a carload and just drive thru. Kinda neat.

We drove through the Hersheypark lights last year......it was great! So much bigger than the display near us in Columbia.

Don't worry...last year we had a 6 and upgraded to a 3 at the port...this year, no verandah and I have been questioning it all along...but I think I would rather cruise again next year and forgo the added expense....

We have Selby Lights in Bloom here which is sooo pretty!!
and they do Trolley light tours where you can take the trolley around to see all the good xmas lights.

It was not really a challenge. I just figured that since we actually board the ship in 9 days and that many of us leave in fewer days than that that packing panic, etc.. would start to take over.....

Oh yes.....panic, I sat watching Pretty Woman at midnight last night sweating the fact that I could see the suitcase were not packing themselves....I just did not want to get out of the princess chair to do it!

Also I LOVE the cards! They are fantastic and not at all cheesy! Of course we can only use them here at home or else we might have to explain all about our strange Internet friends from Vegas.
